I doubt it. Most that have played football would agree that wearing pads and just being used to playing the game takes away any worry you have of falling.

if you look he is still being grabbed by the legs....

I still do not understand how that is not a flag. They are way past the white of the sidelines when the guy wraps him up and takes him down.

Oh and I think he was putting his arm out to go around her and when he got tackled he ended up taking her down too.

I don't think Jason was directing his yelling at one person - the numerous people at the sideline and the aged doctor were could have been hurt.

He got his point across and the urgency certainly played into the moment.

Looks more like Witten thought #50 would have given up on the continued tackle & he would have come to a stop with his arm around the cheerleader BUT #50 kept his legs wrapped up & Witten ended up falling into her & taking her down with him.

The grab at Jason was complete blind to him all he knew was he was falling.

He probably did not want to take her out and attempted to slow the impact. Video shows this - his arms came up as soon as his legs got wrapped.

The joke here is with the benefit of replay - people want to dissect every moment and action with the thought of a dissertation. It was a bang bang deal.

Isn't that the same security guard witten yelled at? If it is. If you go back and watch the clip with the cheerleader and then the one witten yells at the guard. You can clearly see the guard has moved closer to the sidelines. May be the reason why Witten yells at him.
