Actually, I think it's as simple as the Super Bowl being the center of attention. The league doesn't like any announcements this week, and they may have even reminded Jerry of that when Campo was brought aboard. I suspect that Dom Capers is hired next week.

If Campo returning to Dallas as an assistant coach is news that can sway the national media away from the Super Bowl (with a team on the verge of perfection), then the NFL is in tremendous trouble.
