Can we do it?

Detroit

New Orleans

@ Indy

And when is the earliest Romo could be back?

If we get to 5-7 than our final 4 games are

Philly

Washington

@ Arizona

@ Philly

If we can pull off a miracle and win these next 3 games and get Romo back than we have a shot @ 9-7.

I hope so. The next 2 are very important if Dallas is to turn things around. After the New Orleans game Dallas will get the extra time off and have normally done well coming out of the Thanksgiving Day break. Right now for this team the focus must be on Det.

The gamebreaker is going to be New Orleans. If we somehow get by them, we would have a ton of confidence going into the Indy game. It's not impossible, but it would take a lot of luck in my opinion.

For this to be even possible. Dallas needs to do something this Sunday that they haven't been able to do for a while.

Dominate and BEAT a weaker team that they should handle easily. Detroit is horrible on the road, young, can't finish games. QB play for them is shakey and they have Calvin Johnson, possibly J. Best as weapons.

Dallas is far more the better team. But, will that translate on the field?

I may start being a believer if the team that came out against the Giants comes out and plays.

Not the team that plays to the level of their opponent and never above that level.

IMO getting past New Orleans and Indy is going to be harder than winning the Final 4.

Any chance 8-8 gets a wildcard this year?

It looks like Tampa and Philly are going to be locks for that Wildcard, right?

Hopefully the big plays don't stop on Offense either. AKA O-Line doesn't go back to how they were playing because they have sabotaged our Offense this season.

Two teams from the East are making the playoffs (Giants and Eagles), and we need to hope that the runner up in the NFC North starts to crash and burn, which would most likely be Chicago. Losing to Chicago and Green Bay almost makes it impossible to make the playoffs.

We need to beat New Orleans and hope they go 9-7 or worse.
We need to win out.
We need to hope Tampa Bay finishes 8-8 or worse.

I honestly think we would have a better chance of winning the division than making the wildcard. We need to hope Giants and Eagles fall apart.

I think one of these teams will start sliding.

We have an opportunity to put 2 L's on Philly too.

Both Giants and Eagles are 6-3 though :(. Eagles are probably 10-6 at worst.

Giants fell apart last season after getting off to a fast start. So who knows.

It's sad because im just now starting to get excited for this football season and I realise we have put ourselves in a situation that is basically impossible to make the post season.

This is pure torture for an NFL fan.

Yeah, I mean lets say we sweep Philly, that puts them at 6-5. They would have to go 3-2 the rest of the way, which isn't out of the realm of possibility. We just have to win out, and see what happens. We're not making the wildcard; they're too many 5 and 6 win teams right now that it will be impossible to catch up.

I think we can finish a good 8-8.

Puts us out of the running for drafting Patrick Peterson, though.

I don't know...who would we draft with a mid-round pick?

8-8 is like a nightmare.

We just miss the playoffs and we kill our draft position.

We are probably a 6-10 team @ best but just for optimism can we make the playoffs @ 9-7?

You really think we'll do anything if we get in the playoffs at 9-7?

I think we should beat Detroit, Arizona and Washington. The other games are a hard sell for me to believe they can beat them, but if this team gets it gear, they will likely pull off one upset there. I see them as 5-11 or 6-10.

Sure.. Why not?

I like our roster as well as any other teams roster.

8-8 will not get a wild card. The only way we get into it is by winning the division. Which means we need NY and Philli to start losing and Wash to keep doing what its been doing.

I hope we make it, it would be an awesome story, but its probably not going to happen. I don't think there is any way we beat this eagle's team twice, and those two games are going to be bigger than any other test we face. Indy game will not be easy either.

It is a slim chance that we would get to 9-7 but should that happen then yes I think we could do something. Heck going 8 in a row vs the teams we will be facing would show this team is playing high quality football so why wouldn't they have a chance?

But what you're really saying is you like the coaching.

the X factor game is New Orleans. We beat them and we have a REAL shot

No this is not true. We beat them and we have a SLIM OUTSIDE SHOT. Come one, after that we have to beat @Indy, @ Philly, Philly. PlUS, NY and Philly have to really falter. Make no mistake about it it is going to be an OUTSIDE SHOT not a REAL SHOT.
