If you’re like me, here’s all you previously knew about Kellen Moore:
So I looked up his Wiki page and found this gem:
“His father, Tom, was the head coach at Prosser High School from 1986 to 2008, winning 21 league titles and four state championships. Every day during football season, he and younger brother, Kirby, who also played at Boise State as a wide receiver, went from the elementary school to their dad's football practice. As his father remembered in a 2011 interview, ‘He'd always have a little notepad with him. He was always drawing plays.’ In his final two years of high school, his father let him call his own plays.”
Guy’s been ready to call plays since high school!
Another cool fact I learned from his Wiki page: he played with his brother Kirby, a WR, in high school and at Boise State. Kirby Moore scored 95 career receiving TDs in high school, which still stands as the national all-time HS record.
- Boise State QB, most wins in NCAA history
- Mediocre 6-year NFL career as a backup QB in DET/DAL, including some time as Dak’s backup
- DAL QB coach last year, OC this year
