So what? That vaunted Rex Ryan defense has been performing consistently thorughout the year. Our defense hasn't. If wade had a bad game defensively here and there, it would be different. Further, at least Rex doesn't go down crying like a wuss. He still attacks...

BTW, Have you noticed that when Rex Ryan brings the blitz, it flusters Eli... Eli doesn't handle the blitz well...

Whats wade going to do to change the attitude of these players? Not his fault he inherited quitters who like to point fingers. He brought winning, he provided the first year spark, now we are seeing the results of his coaching. The culture has to change around here and its not going to be easy. But when it clicks, its gong to be a force to reckon with. I believe that to see a coaches long-term changes you have to wait 1 to 1.5 years.

The first year is just a spark.

See. Gets the job done. Another stop by the Ravens D and another drive by the Ravens O and they're back in this one.

Don't even bother these guys will always find ways to justify our defense.
Or how about people always justify poor play by other people's defenses?

Cowboy fans are much more critical of the Cowboys org than other teams. I think if we watched other teams with the same eye, we'd be throwing them under the bus, too.

Maybe but then again we don't care about others teams as much as we do the boys.

The first year is just a spark.

He can stop playing base defense when there in third and long, because he is too scared to give up a first. The guy coaches scared. How can you change the attitude of your player's when your too timid yourself? He drafted a quality CB core to rectify issues he saw last year, but he is still coaching like he has Jacquees Reeves back there. Last year, his timidity cost us, when he went prevent allowing Eli to sit in the pocket all day and find Steve Smith and Boss on that drive.

Wade needs to bring the spark on defense, which is why he was hired. We were good last year because this offense was performing well. Our defense has gotten really exposed now, because the offense has been sucking. In fact, the defense this year is worse than last year, despite the upgrade in talent. At least were were generating turn-overs last year. Our pressure is non-existent this year. if our 'stat's for sacks were real, we would have had more INTs. Hell, Ray Lewis alone has more INTs in the last 2 games then we have had all year.

That's kinda my point. We track the 'boys to the point where we know every detail about each player, what car they drive, their marital status, etc.

We don't with other teams. So we'll see a team play well a specific week only to never watch them again....and miss all the other games they stink up the joint.

Sparks are short term solutions. The team will never be good running on just sparks, speeches, and grand gestures (See the saints in payton's first year).

Wade is risk averse. He doesn't like being unprepared. He doesn't like taking unnecessary chances, but he would still take go for it on a 4 and 1 n opponents territory just because the chances are in your favor. So he is not too afraid of risk. Would you rather have Singletary out there, with passion and heart but unprepared for coaching situations?

I really think we have to blame these players more than Wade. Plus we had a string of injuries too. Wade couldn't come up with scheme to prevent that.

Terrell suggs said that they didn't have the best QB starting.
Well Ray Lewis speaks highly of Flacco and thinks they have the best QB starting.

Unnecessary chances? The guy has his CBs playing 10-15 yards off the receivers. He has the most penalized team in the league. He was so prepared, he had BJ playing, was going to play Bollinger and brought BJ back out. We give up 3rd and longs as a norm, not once in awhile. A 3rd and 4 is maybe taking a chance... but seriously...

BTW, the Giants had a string of injuries last year... Every team has injuries. They compensate for them. The Patriots lost their starting QB and while they were sucking it up in the beginning, they showed improvement. Our team only shows inconsistent play and no steady improvement. That is a knock on coaching, not players...

Talk about a lucky INT... That INT was all on Mason... Plus, the bounce off the head and went backwards... The Ravens were dominating this second half...
