You know...I'm not sure why more teams don't have goalline backs like Jacobs. It's not like Jacobs is particularly fast or agile. He just barrels through defenders. Nothing special about it. I'd like to see what Hoyte could do at the goalline. He seems to have that wrecking ball mentality.
I think he's more athletic than you are giving him credit for. He's quite fast for his size (270 lbs!) - he's a freak.

IMO, you don't see many of them because there aren't many of them out there (and those that are are playing defense).

I think he's going to be real tough next year. And not just in short yardage situations. He's going to get a lot of touches once Tiki is gone. If he can play with endurance, he's going to flat wear some defenses out.

i doubt jacobs' style allows him to endure the beating of a 16 game season. even on sunday he was noticeably limping after a couple of touches.

Yeah, they typically play LB or DE, but I don't see why guys like that can't run into a pile and push forward on the goalline for teams, instead of keeping a 5'10" 200 lb. running back in. Like I said, I'd love to see Hoyte get some carries.

I do not want to see the Giants again this year. Next year...when Tiki is gone!

Yes Sir......I've seen all of the Giants I want to see. We have played them twice this season and that's enough.

The two Teams after playing each other two times a year for decades know each other too well. I don't like repeat games esp in the playoffs.

Yeah, he has an old school upright running style - that's what concerned everyone about him on draft day. We'll see. I hope he doesn't turn into an intimidating back, but I could see it happening.

I do think that he could have hurt the Cowboys in the redzone this past Sunday had the Giants used him more.

I think you are right. For some reason they seem to be channeled to defense before they get to the NFL.

It'll be interesting to see.

I think we may see Hoyte more sooner than later.....esp. if we see we may have to play the Bears anytime soon. If you know what I mean. :)

Yea, would have to say New York, hands down.

Why? Because I'm fairly apathetic towards Carolina, and I hate the Giants. I just don't like Coughlin, Burress, Shockey, Eli and Jacobs.

I would say that the Giants are going to be out of the playoffs after this Sunday's loss to the panthers. Not only that but the whole media will magnify every little problem they had. Man, just think about it...they were 6-2 at one point and now we are talking about them not being in the playoffs.

Personally I'd rather face the Panthers in post-season.

I don't know about that...I know they look bad now, but they have the big play capability, with Smith and Keyshawn and may be Foster comes back by that time. Just the fact of playing the same team twice is not intersting to me, the Giants beat us the first time and we beat them the second. We beat the Commanders the first time and they beat us with that strange ending FG kick. Stupid things happen when you play a team the second time.

It's cold hunting bears, very cold...

But, they are easy to trap...you just have to know how to set that trap...? And, use the right bait...
