Giants awarded 9th home game

Saints fans screwed again......

I'm sure there are Saints fans in the surrounding area that travel a couple of hours to go to games....are they gonna travel now? (I'm talking about the fans not directly affected by the hurricane.)

This is like having Dallas wiped out by a tornado and them moving the game to Seattle.....like they couldn't use San Antonio.....or the Sooners stadium....keep it close to the fan base. It's not like all fans come directly from that city.

How is that a weak excuse? Say we had 12 wins and they had a 13th which was their extra home game. That would be crap.

We are now at a disadvantage when compared to the Giants.

The Cowboys' game would not be moved to Sunday. They'd just have two games that Monday night. (It's been done before.)

Unless you've heard something I haven't I wouldn't say it's entirely out of the question.

This morning on The Opening Drive, they mentioned that possibility. Apparently under that TENTATIVE scenario, they'd build the Saints/Giants MNF game around a nationally televised telethon.... and move the Cowboys game to Sunday.

I think the telethon idea is a fine idea, but I think it would work just as well with the currently slated teams.

I agree with those who say that it's just a game and not important in the whole scope of things... but if you're going to continue to schedule Saints games at least make it somewhat fair. The Saints were already going to have distractions and were losing homefield, but they didn't have to give it to the opposing team.

Agree with Adam. I heard a discussion about this today and they said they could easily just have 2 Monday night games. I feel bad for any Saints fans that were still trying to go to the game, but I imagine that number at this point would be pretty low. They still have to lineup and play the game. Bigger issues at hand for now.
