Smart move as Jones will be cut before the start of the new league year with a 2025 dead cap of about $22M. If he gets injured in one of the remaining games this year then $23 million of the 2025 base salary is guaranteed which would then be a dead cap of $45M. Why throw good money after bad to win for meaningless games?

It doesn’t matter you’re just looking for an angle to disparage Dak. Jones has been in the league six seasons and has only led the Giants to the playoffs once and that was as a wildcard. In Dak’s first six seasons he led the Cowboys to the playoffs three times and all three were as division winners. Plus he led us to the number one seed his rookie year. Trying to spin Daniel Jones is on par with Dak is ridiculous.

Matt Stafford was the number one overall pick in 2009 and it took him 13 years to win his first playoff game. I could go on and on.
