Giants CBs Sam Madison and Kevin Dockery likely OUT...

Bingo. I think most of us fault the game plan for that Seattle game, but we still had a chance to win it either way.

As much as I hated the game plan, I was really happy to see Julius have an outstanding game(at least something positive came out of this terrible game plan).

Before we laugh too much, Seattle had a beat up secondary last year too and we did squat on it. We need to execute Sunday....

Blame your boy Parcells for that. And despite it all, we still win that game if Parcells isn't so stubborn that he refuses to switch holders from the starting QB to the second string.

Does anybody else think that no matter who NY puts at LB, they always seem to destroy us? This isn't always the case with their linemen, who are very good, and obviously their secondary, but it seems like they put Nick Griesen back there a year or two ago and all the sudden the guy is Mike Singletary. Reggie Torbor? Same damn thing.

Yeah. That was the problem. Parcells was stubborn.

Sorry, but I don't ever remember the NY LB's having any great games against us, especially not destroy us...

I'm not sure who I would rather see back there against Owens, Madison or Ross.

Madison is more physical and plays closer to the LOS, bumping Owens off his route and not letting him get a clean jump on his routes. This limits Owens' ability to be consistent in the passing game. If Owens can break past him then we should see some big plays as Madison lacks that catchup/recovery speed .

Ross, on the other hand, is quicker and has better coverage skills downfield and is less likely to get beaten deep. He plays off the LOS and will allow stuff in front of him. We can be more consistent in getting short passes but will see fewer big plays.

Either way we can have success but it will require Garrett to gameplan for one or the other and for Owens to be comfortable with what he can get. If Owens gets frustrated early then he is generally significantly less productive.

As for last year's loss to Seattle, that had more to do with our sorry defense being unable to stop the Seahawks than with anything the offense did or didn't do. Parcells' conservative, play-not-to-lose mentality kept us from attacking their yard-sale secondary but we still should have won that game anyway if we could have stopped them.

I hope Wade and Garrett DO prepare for Madison-it's one of those injuries where you can get a cortizone shot, and VOILA.

Funny how the NFL has such a sordid Steroid, HGH, Pain Killer history

Yet it's baseball that Congress is going McCarthy on!
