Cowboy fans should no more than any other team what it is like to have holes at LB, rookies at CB, and DL that can apply no pressure. So what hides these glaring holes for the Giants? Offensive firepower maybe but I am not convinced considering their competition. Dallas brings something that they have not faced yet. A rotating DL that is applying good pressure, shutting down premier backs (Portis, LT), LB that has 3 sacks in 3 games, LB crew that has the size and speed to cover Shockey all day, three corners that can play man to man with the Giant receivers, and a SS that will be able to play in the box this week. Remember guys Roy was not covering the run last year. Our defense last year is a mirror image of their defense this year and you know what happened.

I have had reservations about our previous games but I am sorry guys we should beat the living crap out of this team at home.

We can't expect to show up and beat ANYONE. They're 3-1. If we don't show up fired up and ready, we're going to get our butts kicked.

The Giants defense gives up a lot of yards. The only thing that i see that could cause us to lose this game is if we rack up huge chuncks of yards only to turn the ball over 3-4 times and end up scoring only 17 points as a result. The giants will make the most of opportunities, they have a good coach, but talent wise i dont think they can stop our offense, i just dont want to see us get sloppy and stop ourselves with turnovers.

I think our Defense is going to be fired up and playing at home, i think we give their offense trouble. Oh, BTW...did you hear the noise level in texas stadium when our defense was on the field and the eagles were struggling ? I havent heard it like that in a long time.

We barely beat SF who's defense is worse than NY and we lost to Oakland who's defense is just a tad bit better then NY.

We should have "beat the living crap out of them" too but we didn't.

This will be a good game, but the home crowd will get it won for us.

I am glad you brought that up, I noticed that during the game.

I even commented on it to my wife when they were shouting, "DEFENSE !, DEFENSE !"
It was loud !

I have gone on record in the past as saying that Texas Stadium crowds haven't been very vocal, so I would like to say now that they sounded great against the Eagles.

I believe it impacts both teams when that is the case.

I hope to hear it again this Sunday against the Giants.

Here is a situation where stats lie. The Giants passing D has given up a ton of yards because the Giants O has gone up big on their opponents early. Their opponents were forced to throw against a D which was giving up the short passes.

The Giants will bring their A game. They swept us last year.

The Giants D can cause serious havoc against us. If we can't contain Strahan, we don't have a snowball's chance in heck.

Our secondary had problems early on but made big improvements against Oakland and Philly. Oakland game our OL did not play good and we made mistakes that is why we lost. Cowboys have a lot of new players from last year along with a new defense and that takes time. To compare the team from week 1 to now is silly this team has improved tremendously.

Exactly. Don't think every team has a roll over button on them.
The Defensive stats are a little mis leading. The Boys made a large move off the Eagle game. Up till then we had been average.
The Giants have been ahead in most their games. The other teams are throwing then on them.
Play it out. :starspin

Ya and on the flip side why are the teams having to pass to catch back up? Because they have a bad defense and can't stop the opposing teams offense. This is the exact reason for my post.

They swept us with a horrible secondary and key people hurt. That is another one of my points that their defens reminds me of ours last year.

How did Strahan do in last years games against the Cowboys?

I agree and now for the big test, can we show consistency in our defensive play?

the Giants rank right behind the Raiders defense...

the Raiders looked like the 85 Bears against us, in case you forgot

Exactly Dooms defense wins this game. If it is the defense we saw in Philly the Giants are in trouble if it is the defense of SF we are in for a shootout.

True but the Giants dont have 2 huge DT's like Oakland does. Oakland has also been good against the run while the Giants have not.

We played one great game and 2 lousy games past 3 weeks. Which Cowboys' team shows up, nobody knows.

It's sillier to think this team can beat any team easily just because we played one great game against a team with their best player injured.

It was only two weeks ago this team layed an egg in Oakland. So how can you say this team has improved tremendously?

Come on gimme a break. Nobody was saying how the "Eagles best player was hurt" when they won 3 in a row. It was all about how tough he is, and he's on a tear. Healthy or not, we shut 'em down. Period

I agree, Prior to the Dallas game McNabb put up 342,365 and 369 passing yards and 10 TD. Dallas beats the snot out of them and all of a sudden McNabb was injured. BS!!!
