I think that the only areas of advantage for NY is in there offense (very slight IMO) and special teams coverage. We are horrible in this area. Otherwise, I think we have the advantage everywhere else. Of cousre, that is just my opinion.

I think the following:
OL--Dallas
RB--Push
WR--Push
QB--Dallas

Let me get this straight. You actually think the Giants have an advantage over us offensively? Just a couple of questions. Have you watched any of the games this year? Have you compared the two teams' offensive stats? That is all.

Sorry, that should have read "Run Offense". To me, there Run Offense and coverage teams are the only areas of advantage IMO.

I don't see an advantage in there WRs. I see Burress, who is having a good year with 8 TDs (injured and all) and then I see a bunch of guys. Burress is really not spectacular in any other area statistically. You got Shockey with 31 catches and Toomey with 30. Just OK, not really great IMO. Heck, Burress only has 37 catches. I don't see there WRs or there passing game as a "Push". I see ours as better. From an AYPC stand point, our running game is actully the same. We average 4.6 YPC and they average the same.

Defensively, they have more sacks then we do but I don't see them as a better pass defense team. They give up 6.5 yards per pass play, on average. We give up 6.4. We've both given up 8 TDs. They give up more yards per carry in the running game then we do as well. To be honest, Other then there Sack totals, I don't know that they are better defensively at all. I think our defense is better all around.

That can't be right. Just going back in my head we gave up 3 to the Giants, 5 to the Patriots and 1 to the Eagles and I haven't even considered the other games. Everything else at least sounds good though...

gave up 80 points in the first two games. They have given up 79 total the last six. Whether that is improvement by the defense or the talent of the competition is yet to be seen. But to be honest, I don't see the Packers scoring 35 again if the Giants play them. I also don't see the Cowboys scoring 45 this week. But we will see about that too.

Without question, I believe the Cowboys will drop atleast 35 on the Giants this weekend. The Cowboys have an offensive line that will likely send several to the ProBowl.

Read the link in my .sig. It was done before the Giants went and played Miami. 81% of their sacks came against three teams, and those three teams where ranked 29th, 30th, and 31st in sacks given up. The Giants have gotten their sacks against what amounts to a high school football team's offensive line.

The Eagles gave up more sacks (12) in that game with Winston Justice getting his first start than the Cowboys have given up the entire first half of the season. (11)

Expect to get beat down. The Giants defense is better, but so is the Cowboys offense. As for the Giants offense. Well, I think the Cowboys will just flat outscore the Giants and it won't be close.

Cowboys have a better ST all around. As for offense. I don't think so. Romo alone is more potent than the Giants offense. They *might* have an edge at RB, but there is no comparison at QB. Receiver wise, Plax vs TO, Witten vs Shocky, Toomer vs Crayton. The only thing I would call a Giant advantage is Toomer over Crayton. TO is better than Plax and Witten is better than Shocky just for his ability to block though Shocky has improved. He just isn't as good as Witten.

I'm curious what you make of the Giants 30 sacks. I can find only 28. Cleo Lemon's stats show he was sacked 3 times by the Giants, however when you look at the box score and the play-by-play for the game, it only shows one sack. The only thing I can make out is that his self-inflicted fumble and intentional grounding were counted as sacks.

That's the problem with these stats on NFL and ESPN. Sometimes they don't match and obviously aren't official. I have found several players that have fewer TDs or Sacks for the season than they do judging by individual games. The math is very wrong in some cases.

you know I keep hearing how this pass rush is going to affect the cowboys and how Osi and Strahan and Tuck are going to pressure Romo and all that jazz. Here are some things that I think is getting missed in all this evaluation crap.

1. I think people are really underestimating how much Newman and Ellis means to this defense. We learned a valuable lesson last year when Ellis went out and I think the Giants exposed how much Newman means to our secondary. This is a very good defense we have and I think the Giants are about to find out real soon.

2. This Giants defense has played well but we really can underestimate how pitiful the teams they have beaten. Sure any win in the NFL is a good win but lets be honest. Beating the 49ers with Dilfer at QB and putting 35 points up against the Falcons does not make you great.

3. Eli has gotten better this season and I credit the ex-cowboy coach more so than the OC Gilbride. But lets be honest, this is still ELI! He still is not completing 60% of his passes and is getting run support and good field position from the defense more than stellar play at QB.

My point is the Cowboys are the better team and you will see an offensive line wear down a smaller defensive line bt the fourth.
