Giants defensive tackle Barry Cofield: "Everything [at Cowboys Stadium] is so nice and so big. It almost works against them. You're so pumped up to go in there, it almost gets you up as a road team. If ours is anywhere on par with theirs, it will be a beautiful building."

and the envy begins

Giants won their Superbowl when they beat us week 2 in our home opener. We don't even care about our 8-3 record and are still hungry.

We're 5-1 there so far. Some advantage.

No Barry, the advantage that gets teams up is that they are playing the Cowboys. No team fires other players up to play more. It's called TV ratings and exposure. beating them is always a big thing, even when they aren't so good.

Pardon me if I do not hang on every word that a giant player or giant fan says. His opinion and his ilk's opinion hold no sway here.

In other words, I could give two flying ****s about what an enemy has to say about the cowboys.

IT IS GAME DAY FINALLY! And we have an opportunity to finally shut them all up.

Out of the night that covers me black is the pit from pole to pole..

How does Jerry World being big have anything to do with giving the away team an advantage? That's one of the dumbest things I've read in a while. It's football bro. It matters zilch how big the place you're playing in. The field is the same size length and width wise. I guess we are talking about the same idiots who are complaining about Tuck getting leg whipped but had one of their players do the samething to us in the same game. Here what I say about the Giants. Them and the whole *** bunch!:suxjints: :giants::dissgint:

Cofield's supposition: Cowboys Stadium = "Works against Dallas"

Cofield's subconscious premise: New Giants Stadium = Cowboys Stadium

So, if you believe that Cowboys Stadium works against Dallas, what the heck do you believe your new stadium will do for your team, genius?

First, it was the brilliance of Phil Simms' "Dallas Has No Homefield Advantage" nonsense. Now Cofield tries to expand on this unique foolishness. Someone call the CDC. Stupid is running rampant in GiantNation. Stop it before it turns into a pandemic!!11!!

Indeed...I'd say the same about the old Texas Stadium also.

Don't worry about it, Cofield fella, yours won't be anywhere near on par with ours (and I haven't even seen yours).

the glamour will wear off after this year. Jerry should have made the opposing team's lockerroom look just like the one at texas stadium.

That's exactly what I was going to point out, but you said it much better than I would have.

Actually I think Cofield was just saying he admires our new stadium.

While it will fall short of matching Cowboys Stadium, I can honestly say that the new Giants Stadium will be a gorgeous building. It's pathetic that they built it outside New York State (again  ). Since it's an open air stadium, it's hilarious that a team commonly associated as being one of the top cities in the world (even though 'their' stadium is located in New Jersey  ) could possibly watch Jerry Jones and/or Stephen Jones host four or so Super Bowls during the new Giants Stadium's lifetime without having the opportunity of hosting a single one. I LUV it! :laugh1:

Yeah...they should have built a dome. Unless we have a year with an uncharacteristic heat wave, we'll probably never see a Super Bowl hosted at Giants Stadium.

What's even more pathetic, is that it will be called "Giants Stadium" and the Jets will still play there :laugh1:

Not bad, but kind of sterile-looking compared to Cowboys Stadium, IMO. Ours has a more unique look and that videoboard (whether you like it or not) and the open end zones set us apart.
