Personally, I think Dallas should win this game.
New York's confidence is reeling. Its quarterback is inconsistent and weak down the stretch. The list of problems go on, and on.
With that said, New York is in the thick of the divisional race and should land a playoff spot. So, despite the injuries, they're obviously talented. The backs-against-the-wall mentality scares me a tad.
I think it's KEY for Dallas to start strong on Sunday. The Cowboys simply cannot allow a big play -- such as the deep TD to Plaxico that began the Monday night game -- early. The best thing the Cowboys can do is make the Giants question themselves and their fans turn against them early.
Forcing Eli into poor throws, creating a turnover, or driving home a powerful opening possession could all do this. In my mind, the Cowboys MUST make the Giants think, "Crap, here we go again" early in the game. Immedaitely take away any hope that was created from today's players meeting.
Strong starts are always important, but especially against a team against the ropes like New York.
I think we "can" win even without a strong start. But it'll be difficult, especially on the road. You said a blowout won't happen, which is likely. But I think there's a "chance" of New York getting embarrassed if they get down early. Like I said, I just wonder how mentally strong they'll be in such a scenario.
Regardless, huge game for the division Sunday. Should be tons of fun and story lines. Hopefully, Martin Gramatica isn't among those storylines.
