I'm worried about Tiki running and catching. Remember last game? It was the end of the first half and 3rd and long. Giants were backed up in their territory, and Cowboys would get another shot to score. Giants run the ball, and Tiki gets the first down. Such a frustrating play.

This game is HUGE. If Dallas wins, they have a 2 game lead in the division with 4 to go. If Dallas loses, they are tied but the Giants will have all the tie-breakers. It will also really hurt Dallas' shot for a bye.

Dallas has a few things that could be better. We still tend to get confused from time to time in our secondary and we don't always get consistent pressure on QBs.

My thoughts are that the Giants simply don't have the tools healthy to exploit our problems. The first meeting between the teams simply won't happen again (unless it is the opposite). Any outcome other than a Giants blowout is possible.

However there is one thing that kind of worries me. Historically the Giants play much better the week after the coaches and players seem to be hell bent on self destruction. I think the players only meeting amounts to something between jack and squat, but the Giants seem to thrive on self caused adversity and that scares me.

Oh the Giants have had their problems with that also. Against the bears, they converted a 3rd and 22 on a draw play, and that basically was the turning point of the game for us, everything went down hill.

Im looking at some positives for the Giants going into this game and im really hoping that Coughlin can use the Vanderjact release against the Cowboys. Gramatica is not only coming in cold but we all know he doesn't have a strong leg and if he is going to be doing kickoffs (Will he be or do you guys have someone else?) then short kickoffs can really help with field position etc.

What a shock!

The Giants having a "players only-heart-to-heart".... This happens every single year with them.

I knew it would happen.

It's sad that you guys have to have these to get yourselves in gear. I will say that when those happen, the Giants usually do benefit.

But it sure reeks like a bunch of crying teenage girls.

Question for the forum:

Why is it that all teams have a players only meeting when they get ready to face Dallas? It seems like every single week leading up to the game, the opposing team has a players only meeting. You would think that we were the front runners for the Lombardi trophy.

Actually this is the second one this year. The first one came before the giants 4 games winning streak :p:

No one on this forum is writing this game off and automatically figuring a win.

We are gonna tan that arse.... Giants are girly men and we will end their night early.

This is not the same team they played earlier this year.

Like I said, they work for you all.

But it still is a tactic for that mentally weak teams use....It would be different if it was used once or twice every three or four years. The Giants have them several times a year.

Either you're tough or you're not. Be men Giants!

They've completely quit on their coaching staff and Tom "I'm legitimately Insane" Coughlin. At this point, a "Players only" meeting is the best motivation they're gonna get.

The one guy I worry about from the giants is DE-Mathias Kiwanuka.. I know he made a huge mistake this past week but I think he is a stud and will be a very good replacement foe Strahan when he calls it quits...

The only concern I have for the Cowboys this week is ofcourse Kicker ..Hope its not a tight game so I dont have to watch Gramatica or whoever going in to kick a field go with no time left and down by 2...

Personally, I think Dallas should win this game.

New York's confidence is reeling. Its quarterback is inconsistent and weak down the stretch. The list of problems go on, and on.

With that said, New York is in the thick of the divisional race and should land a playoff spot. So, despite the injuries, they're obviously talented. The backs-against-the-wall mentality scares me a tad.

I think it's KEY for Dallas to start strong on Sunday. The Cowboys simply cannot allow a big play -- such as the deep TD to Plaxico that began the Monday night game -- early. The best thing the Cowboys can do is make the Giants question themselves and their fans turn against them early.

Forcing Eli into poor throws, creating a turnover, or driving home a powerful opening possession could all do this. In my mind, the Cowboys MUST make the Giants think, "Crap, here we go again" early in the game. Immedaitely take away any hope that was created from today's players meeting.

Strong starts are always important, but especially against a team against the ropes like New York.

I think we "can" win even without a strong start. But it'll be difficult, especially on the road. You said a blowout won't happen, which is likely. But I think there's a "chance" of New York getting embarrassed if they get down early. Like I said, I just wonder how mentally strong they'll be in such a scenario.

Regardless, huge game for the division Sunday. Should be tons of fun and story lines. Hopefully, Martin Gramatica isn't among those storylines. :)

I agree the team should win. The great teams rip the jugular out of floundering teams so just in case in the playoffs the image is fresh. December football is awesome.

Yeah and I think this the second one. If these work they are usually good only once a season sort of like a "get out of the doghouse for free" card in Billopoly."

For what it's worth, I think the Giants will come out fighting hard... It's at home and your backs are against the wall. I think that means a close game, unless the Cowboys can jump out front early. IF the Cowboys take an early lead, then we take the crowd out, Manning will get discouraged and the Giants will implode. However, if it stays close, anything can happen and the home team has an advantage. Thanks for the post and good luck.

All we have do is call Jeff Fisher if we are down in the 4th and ask him what his secrets were.

Nice to find a classy fan of the opposite team. I think that if Tiki has a huge day, it could spell doom for us. Teams that can run on us, really gives us problems.

I don't think any team can consistantly pass on us, unless we're giving up the deep stuff and having penalties all over the place. 3 things will have to happen in order for the Giants to beat us.
1. Tons of turn overs.
2. Serious pressure on Romo (although that hasn't really worked)
3. Great running game by Tiki.

Other than that, you guys lose, and lose big.

Quite honestly I feel NYG are making a mistake playing up this game.

I am just not sure they can win it with things going as they are. They are really better suited trying to win 3 of the last 4 and get in the playoffs then catch Dallas when the teams are playing differently.

The thing is, Dallas has a swagger right now, while the Giants are punch drunk from team in-fighting and poor play. From my mouth to God's ears this Dallas team is the best in football at this minute. Who knows if they can sustain that for very long but do not mistake what the Giants will be facing on Sunday. The hottest team in the league on 10 days rest.

I fully expect Dallas to win big. The Giants are too banged up and Dallas is a different team from the one that lost to the Giants earlier.

I do understand they have that desperation thing working but that team will fold if they get down 10 points and this Dallas team can score that in the first quarter. It is not like Dallas will consider this a bye week. Its really the only game left on the schedule they are pointing to as a big game.

I appreciate your attempts at mature conversation here but facts are this is the best Dallas has played since 1995 at least.

Not to mention big back Brandon Jacobs (I believe he had a little run in with Mr. Williams last time they met) isn't even getting the ball...

Yeah...do you happen to remember a little run-in last year when your boy Jacobs got popped by Mr. Williams at the goal line and fumbled contributing to the Giants loss? How soon they forget...

Welcome Giant fan. So long as you come in peace and not trash talk you are welcome. I guess our biggest concern is that we continue to play the way we have for the last several weeks & not revert back to our inconsistent play which I believe is the result of fielding a very young team with an incredible turnover in last 2 years.

I've read some of the Giant fan forums and some seem convinced we are overconfident, etc. Make no mistake -- we are not overconfident and we take this game very seriously. We are very hungry--more then you can possible imagine. There was a lot of trash talk by Giant players during the game in Dallas where they beat us badly and no doubt Cowboy players will constantly reminded of Stockey comments just a few days ago.

I think it will be a very good game & hope there no major injuries. I've no doubt the Giants will play to their full potential but rest assured so will the Cowboys. Since Romo's been our QB, we tend to start a little slow & have even fallen behind, but then we come charging back and then some.
