Giant's fan: Is Demarcus Ware Overrated?

I didn't realize that Ware had 4.5 sacks.

I'd like to see the QB pressures and TFL numbers. I think Ware shows up big there as well.

STATS LLC has Ware with 16 career TFL and Merriman with 11.5. And Ware has far more pressures/QB hits (I don't have the numbers handy at the moment).

Case in point--last night's game. Ware had 1.5 sacks including a FF. He also deflected the pass that landed into TNew's hands & basically caused the play of the game. Otherwise, Buffalo scores at least 3 pts., and we're pretty much out of it. Ware was also responsible for several incompletions that Edwards dumped due to Ware's constant pressure.

After the first 2 games of this year, I was getting frustrated with my man myself, but he was getting used to yet another system, and it just took a little time. He is now getting help from Anthony Spencer, who just might make DROY by the time it's all said & done. This young man is not only putting pressure on the QB, but is sick against the run. Talk about strong. I don't know how many times I've seen him take an RB down with one hand. Don't think we have to worry about too many missed tackles with him, unless it's due to not controlling his speed rush.

I love our defense more & more. Now that Hatcher is getting hot, these guys are going to start looking like a jail break.

That Gnats fan should be more concerned with one of the most overrated player (Manning) in his team than D. Ware.
