I think the horse collar rule is hilarious.
How many years did they manage to play football without that rule?
Football is a rough game. Players get hurt.
That tackle on Watson was very LEGAL!
We have a couple of players like Roy and TO who are getting called for penalties off of thier reputation as much as anything else. TO getting called for spiking the ball when I see Welker doing the same thing in Sunday's game and no call.
Also what constitutes a push out against DB's. I have seen 3 instinces int the last two weeks that have not been called correctly. In one of them...in the Buffalo game there were 2 refs(1 behind the play on the sideline and another in front close to the sideline) that called TO out of bounds when he clearly gets one foot down before being pushed out by the db. How can they both screw up that call?
They are terrible.
I saw a thread in this forum Saturday night that showed Mike Carey's crew was calling this game. I thought it was funny how most people who were pleased and thought he would be good...his crew is one of the worst. There is always some sort of controversy with his crew in one way or another and he usually gets more airtime then the announcers.
