I'm not worried if A.J. Feeley has to step in, if there was an injury to Mcnabb. He's done it before.

People talk about the lack of talent at WR, yet the Eagles still do good.

I'm pretty sure they finished last year with the #2 Offense in the entire league.

You've got a QB and quality starters and depth on both the OL and DLs. That makes you competitive. Throw in Westbrook and the best coaching staff in the division, and you get a consistent contender.

I do think you should have sprung for Stallworth this offseason, though.

Skins wont make it to 8-8, they will suffer a load of injuries one of many downsides of Synder paying for old vets, they get injured more, FACT, and if they get 2 wins in the division I will be very suprised, wouldn't mind having the Skins 1st rounder next year wonder if Synder will give it up for Riveria??

The Giants have some talent and im sure this guy thinks he has a point but with what will be no running game - no OL and Jacobs running into any tackler he can find - they wont even be in contention for a WC spot. Expecting them to look to sign Keyshawn. LB is their only real question mark on Defense so look for it to be as effective as always.

The Eagles will be very competitive again a fit McNabb is a very good QB we have all seen it. Still Kevin Curtis #1 WR big fat ?, defense is getting old in the secondary but they are still savvy and the line is actually quite young. Andy Reid will have them ready to make another run this season or they will bomb and hell be gone before the end of the season depends a lot on those convits hes got for kids.

And now to the 'Boys from an outside perspective we still have big ? on the OL, but Davis at ROG should help, Colombo played well at RT, Flo will have a good contract year etc youve heard them all before. Hopefully the D steps it up in the new system, if most thigs work out we should win the division.

GO 'BOYS

:lmao: I'll be cracking up all the way to the Superbowl, I love how people discount teams before the season even starts. I pray for NO injuries in mini/training camps or preseason!

Its true that the Eagles have to be considered the pre season favorites for the division. BUT only a totally drunken homer would put the Giants up there. They have NO LT (ask Bledsoe how much fun he had with tucker there); their secondary is still weak, and their QB is still a work in process at best. Then add no Tiki and yo get a team that will be lucky to be 8-8.

from a Giant forum.

In my [slightly biased] opinion, Cowboys are : TuckerF : 5/2/07 4:13 PM
the most overrated team in football. They have major problems on their offensive line that Leonard Davis cant solve and he may be another problem. They have no pass rush other than Ware; Their corners aren't that good they have no Free Safety and Roy Williams will never learn coverage skills. Romo had as bad a second half of his season as Eli but no one noticed. Their receivers are the same age as Toomer or older. They started 71 of 22 players all year and barely made the playoffs.
What do you think their record is if they lose Flozell Adams, TO or Glenn, Ellis, Ware, Newman and Henry to injury at the same time? They would be lucky to win 4 games.

 This has to be one of the most uninformed and a little more than slightly biased piece i have read in a while.

First i thought it was written before the draft but the date on it says May 2nd. So, either the person doesn't follow free agency and the draft or has some serious blinders on.

The last sentence highlighted above is laughable at best. it's sort of like saying "marriage is the number one cause of divorce".....do you think, genius?

Who knows how the division will play out. I could see the Giants falling back some but they have drafted pretty well so it wouldn't surprise me to see them fighting for the division.

they were similar to Dallas last year. When they were good....they were really good. When they were bad...they were pretty bad. Which team can minimize their lows and keep their highs consistent.

Just going by personnel, I cannot see the Eagles nor the Giants even coming close to matching up with the Cowboys.
It will not be close in the East.
The Cowboys will run away with the lead and beat the Giants twice, the Skins twice and the Eagles once. And that is good enough for me re the eastern division.

you got to be careful of matching up personnel of teams though. All I know is every offseason, I see Extremeskins do a roster analysis of teams and always say how their team is much more talented then the Eagles, Pats, etc. Then the season roles around and they finish with around 6-8 wins.

All I know is the Eagles have the best defensive coordinator in the division, the best line in the division, the best QB in the division (if healthy), and one of the top 3 playmakers in offense in Westbrook in the division. They may not be flashy but they have kicked our butts around for a long time. At least they haven't won a super bowl so their domination over us hasn't been too bad.

To illustrate my post, see below. ES can be quite amusing. I am sure we have our crazy homers too but they seem to be in abundent over there. I can check out threads comparing the Skins front office to the Patriots and read how the skins match up favorably. Or I can read possition matchups where the Skins have the advantage over teams who have been consistently successful for years. Quite comical.

If you look at the rest of the division, it will take some time for McNabb and the Eagles to get back into form because of the injury. Kevin Curtis is a downgrade from Stallworth. I project that Westbrook is due for an injury, especially since he will shoulder the load early in the season, and the Eagles who overuse him still have neglected to find a suitable backup for him. Additionally, there already is and there will continue to be tons of media distractions for this team if they don't succeed early, and Reid will likely still be dealing with trying to keep his kids out of prison. Defensively, Dawkins is ancient (they lost an opportunity to replace/help him with Merriweather) and Trotter has visibly lost a step. Spikes can be a difference maker IF he returns to his 2004 form, which is not likely considering his injuries and age (will be 31). Cowboys gotta learn a whole new system under Wade Phillips and will need maybe 2 years to turnover, especially if young Romo is not the right QB for this team.

Disagree ...

1. Dallas has lost one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL. Wade Phillips is no Bill Parcells, and runs a diffrent offensive and defensive system than Parcells. Although They plan to keep the 3-4 defense, I believe that the Cowboys will play some 4-3 looks in addition to a base 3-4. I also believe that Tony Homo will play like he did at the end of last season, and remember that Terry Glenn and T.O are each another year older.

this is amazing ...... never before have two people in the league aged, yet everyone else stayed the same! Im just happy they didnt' age two years to everyone elses zero

phew, we dodged one guys!

this post by random gints fand is a joke, they have so many questions on their team and Eli is gonna choke even if they get close to winning the division.

One month tells the tale of a QB now?

By your logic, if I just use the first month of Grossman's starts this year I can prove Grossman is the league's best QB.

There you go. You can now call Grossman the best QB in the league. In fact, I encourage you to go post on a Colts board or Patriots board saying so.
