I am absolutely shocked by those guarantees.

He's a good player but I don't even see him as a premier defensive end anymore and his better days are absolutely behind him.

54 million guaranteed over 4 years, Giants are going to regret that.

And then they will make that stud safety they have the highest paid safety in the league.

Giants don't have a lot of core players signed long term compared to us.

We have Romo, Smith, Fred, Dez and Crawford(ugh)...soon we will add Martin to that list and Witten is just finishing up his long term deal. Zeke is on a rookie contract but it's large compared to most running backs so I would say he has a core player contract as well.

The more players you hit on and sign long term, the tighter you will be against the cap. Unless of course you're the Patriots and you don't sign many long term...I would've hated to let Smith, Fred and Martin walk though, I'm sure Bellichick wouldn't do it either.

They also have Pugh coming up, if they havent' signed him yet. He is their best OL and came out same year as Fred.

They are headed down the road we are trying to get out of. That's crazy. 54 million guaranteed? What is their cap space now.

Why do teams do this? My gosh.

He's good and all but no way is he making a 17 mill a year impact.
