Insane. Where the hell are they getting all this cap room?
seriously, last i saw the numbers they had less room than us this year. hopefully they will be in cap hell for a long time just like we are. but knowing mara and the way the nfl works they wont.

I always liked JPP. But, the Giants can have him. Good talent....not tough enough. Nobody is afraid of him.

Like New England, but much less effectively and much more recklessly, they're trying to load up and go for it before their quarterback retires, at which point they blow it all up and try to start over. We'll see if it works out for them.

Not worse than signing Crawford for 9 million a year. Jpp 16 million > Crawford 9 million

Haha!!!

Thats stupid money. I would have never given him that much. That's about $7 million more a year than he's worth.

The Giants actually saved almost $10 million by singing JPP to this deal. Placing the franchise tag on him ate up $17 million. This new deal makes him count about $7 million this year. That freed up $10 million. They also saved about $500,000 with the restructure of Harris' contract who agreed to take a pay cut. The only signing I would love to happen which probably won't is Hankins. Everything else is good until the draft.

It was awkward watching him sign the contract with his elbows.

It's funny how teams like Washington and NYG pay out these huge contracts but it never seems to catch up to them. Years ago, Washington was going to be in the tank for several years while digging out of the cap hole they had dug. That never happened.....

They're mortgaging the future for the present. Whatever savings they get this year will be added costs down the road.

Are you good with Reese and the team loading up for one last shot before Eli retires?

The Giants always find a way to find more cap room. After all of the signings they have done with 71 players under contract, they have just under $10 million in cap room. I am hoping that is enough for the draft picks plus Hankins' one year deal.
