Well, the Giants' D was impressive ......sorta. It's hard to tell if that was good D or offensive ineptitude by the skins. The G'men only had 1 sack (from what I recall), but ok pressure. I really like Aaron Ross.
Offensively the Giants are not so impressive. Jacobs is a beast and fun to watch. Plaxico is the entire passing offense basically. Eli, is totally unimpressive. I don't give a damn what the numbers say, it is apparent to me the Eli does not read coverage. He picks his receiver before the ball is snapped and sometimes looks another way to pretend he isn't going to his previously chosen receiver and then goes right to him. I saw this kid force at least 10 passes that should have been batted down or intercepted. He has no filter that tells him not to throw to someone.... he does and usually it's Plax that comes up with some amazing catch. I could be wrong but I get the feeling that Eli has one receiver in mind and perhaps an RB checkdown. He consistantly throws to receivers who are covered. I counted at least 4-5 possible interceptions and perhaps another couple passes that should have been batted down.
The skins are a complete mess........
Jason Campbell, just like we have all been saying, is NOT a west coast offense type QB. He could probably get away with a Parcells' Bus Driver roll, but as far are quick decision and precision...... he is apparently not too bright/quick...just too dumb to be a playmaker. What is up with Santana Moss? This guy looks like he doesn't even care anymore.... I guess that is what happens when you realize your team is a joke and has no chance of success.
Skins' D.... yikes. Just run at Jason Taylor like the G-men did all night. I knew that would happen. The guy is a top notch weak side pass-rusher......not so much anywhere else as he is so skinny. Skins' secondary is god aweful and couldn't catch AIDS in Africa. Their LB core is the only thing that is even serviceable.
Prediction.... Giants 8-8, Skins 4-12
