As a result of the recent news of Beatty's season ending injury Ian Rapoport is currently reporting that the clandestine Giants fan known as "PoundTheRock", draped in an Eli Manning jersey, is on the ledge of a tall building fighting back tears and screaming Tony Romo related obscenities.

I love it...

A certain 30yr old backup qb.

fortune would be smiling upon us if that's all we lose.

Every season someone gets hurt and its likely to happen again this year. I wasn't alluding to karma with my question, moreso the law of averages.

Fortunately, mgt is no longer taking a top heavy approach to the roster so they can probably withstand the inevitable injuries better than they have in years

he is not young so you can probably add a month to that. You have to be real careful or you can tear it again. For all intents and purposes he is out for the year.

He will rub some deer antler dust on it and be back a month early.

I also find it interesting dichotomy that people cheer S going headhunting and extremely physical violent play but draw the line when someone gets hurt. It's a survival league.

There is no contradiction. Physical play on gamedays vs. players not being able to suit up. I find it interesting you think these are comparable.

Oh snap... this is very, very bad for the Giants.

Time to peruse the NYG message boards to see them all lined up on the ledge.

It is small pleasures that make life worth living.

Is he? I thought the consensus was that he was a decent RT but would have a chance to be special at guard

More like not very good at RT but might be decent at G.

Personally I think he will be OK at guard but nothing worth writing home to Mom about.

Wonder if their fan base still thinks Collins couldn't crack their starting OL

Most of those fans will never admit he would ever crack their line-up. They are the ones who were screaming at their front office to sign him.

Agreed.

They lost a player to injury. Good.

If it was Romo they would be rejoicing with their fans.

Too fudgin bad.
If it happens to us then we have to deal with it.

We dealt with it just last year around this exact time with Sean Lee. No sympathy received from Giants fans when it happened, plenty of cheering though.

I wish the player a speedy and full recovery, but have no sympathy for the New York Giants.

Flowers will have some growing pains, but that might be one area they could have stand to take a hit.

Pugh isn't as terrible as he's made out to be and who really knows how the 3 young OL will do for them. Overal, I think it's a solid unit still. Probably not top 10, but at least average.
