giants rb tandem

I think Jacobs will be an outstanding back,, if he can stay healthy. He runs upright, but he is very fast for a guy his size.. and we know he is powerful. I don't know if he can be an every down back because of his running style. But he kid has talent.

I think the gaints might be at the bottom of the division this year. Esp. if gappy don't suit up at DE for them.

Defending them shouldnt be a huge problem. Tiki was the guy who always torched us. I'm not worried about any running game from the East rivals.

I think that's ********. Both the Skins and the Eagles both have potentially dominant running games. I might hand it to you that Westbrook has more of a chance for injury and without him, the Eagles don't have much of a running game, but you can't count on him to be injured.

The Skins have Portis, and if he goes down, Betts picked up 1100+ yards in 9 starts.

Both of those teams have the potential to have a dominant running game.

The thing that will hurt the Giants the most is that they wont be able to pass to Tiki out of the backfield. Say what you want, but he could take a 2 yard dumpoff pass and go to the house with it. Jacobs and Droughns can't do that. I don't think the run game will be hurt all that much.
i don't know about droughns but jacobs took a bad screen pass like 40 yards when we played them in ny last season

I think the Giants are going to run the ball, ALOT, this season and will run it well. Jacobs is going to have alot of yards, and a high YPC, if he can stay healthy.

I think what's being lost in the shuffle, by alot of fans, is the impact Tiki's loss will have in the passing game. Tiki was an excellent reciever and an experienced pass-blocker, two areas where Jacobs has struggled. I don't think Jacobs is ready to fill those shoes, and it's going to have a big impact on Eli's effectiveness.

i have a bad feeling they will be a good power running combo. alot of people are saying they will have no/poor running game this year. i'm not buying into that at all. jacobs is a beast and ruben has faired well for playing in cleveland. what do you guys and gals think?

Jacobs is a change of pace back and thats it. His abilities will be limited as a starter.

Top that off with more offensive line questions than they had last year and you've probably got yourself a bit of trouble as an offense period.
