Giants should have drafted Lock?

Jones needs time to develop and then he still may not. Big gamble there.
But I am not sure Haskins would be any better at this time either.

Neither picks scares me. I am an OSU fan, and seen all of Haskins games. Big arm, strong, accurate. But he needs time to throw. He struggled at times against better defenses. But got better as the season went along. He is not a runner. He can't scramble away from a fast pass rush.
Haskins may or may not turn into a decent QB. But I do think he will sit for a year behind Keenum to learn the NFL speed of the game and defenses.

I have no idea about Jones though.

Doesn't matter...Kyle Lauletta is the franchise there.

IMO Lock has the higher upside but also the lower floor. If he could be paired with a QB whisperer then I think he could pan out. If he gets drafted by Denver then he's a huge bust lol.

The Giants could still draft Lock in Round Two and make it real interesting. I would support that.

I mean, I get the logic. I see the potential with Jones. And I don't want to bash the pick because I did that with Mayfield. But man, with Haskins sitting there...

Giants could have came out of the first round with Josh Allen, Dexter Lawrence, and Drew Lock.

Thank God they didn't.

A much better scenario for them, but luckily they were locked in on taking a QB early. It's possibly they could have even gotten Jones later.

the real question is how does jones compare as a prospect to rosen? i think i'd have rather gone allen, lawrence and then traded for rosen if i were the giants.

the crazy thing is that they got rid of snacks harrison, and then essentially traded OBJ to draft a younger snacks harrison with upside. gettlemen is screwing that franchise and i love it.

actually they traded their 2nd round pick. they don't pick again until late round 3.

They should have waited until next year's draft for a QB but I'm not complaining

Nope
They should have taken Darnold last year
Great example of the fact that a franchise QB takes priority when you don't have one
I'm glad Giants were stupid

Remember when the Seahawks got a "F" grade for drafting Bruce Irvin, Bobby Wagner, and Russell Wilson with their first 3 picks in 2012? All they did was go to two straight Super Bowls, and Wilson and Wagner are routine Pro Bowl picks.

Remember when the Cowboys were universally panned for trading down and picking Travis Frederick with the 31st pick in 2013?

Remember when nearly everyone was bagging on the Browns a year ago for picking Baker Mayfield over Sam Darnold? Darnold's team picked 3rd this year, while Cleveland went on a winning streak under Mayfield.

Let's hold off on dunking on the Giants for a couple of years to see how things turn out.
