Because he has a bullseye on his back.

The whole league hated that Dallas finally had a good qb again. Then he went into the spotlight quickly because his coach was beloved by the national media and received praise from parcells.

Then throw in the fumble in seattle and the mexico trip with a hated celebrity and he is basically a punchline forever.

he is going to have to win superbowls, yes plural or the fringe fans, the national media and opposing teams papers will always talk about his non football activity because that is the way to attack him.

Now this summer at some point, either at team OTA's or training camp Buffalo bill is going to attack him, deion sanders has already said we know who the snitch was referring to romo and that is probably the ground work for buffalo bill to attack him.

once buffalo bill attacks him the media, the same media that hates buffalo bill will take his comments and then bash romo more.

So when this summer comes I hope A. Romo stays quiet and classy and B. Players on this team stand up for him. Unfortunately, I am not sure who outside of witten will stand up for him because of the ego's here. I really hope some of the defensive veterans stand up for him or Romo will be attacked like crazy this year.

Winning this year would be more enjoyable than any other season I can ever remember.

Brees had a better season statistically in '08, but if you were to ask which QB is likely to (a) win more games next season and (b) put up a higher QB rating, in 2009, I think you'd have to go with Romo no question.

Romo is not top 5 and to tell you the truth with the RB's we have he doesn't have to be top 5. He just needs to cut out all the turnovers. I can care less who he dates. I don't care if the guy conspires with Witten or that he is a snitch. None of these things matter to me if our team is winning.
