Giants vs 49ers - who to root for?

If the Giants get trounced again this early in the season, it will likely make them much easier to beat, as their belief in their chances for this season would likely take such a hit they could not recover.
So you root for the 49'ers.

Good question, but I am going NYG. However, I doubt it happens. They will be without Barkley as well.
We already beat NYG, and play them in our house layer on. It would help with playoff seeding as well vs. SF if it gets to that point.

Meanwhile, in other games.
Atlanta - Detroit. Should we go Lions to make both teams 2-1.
LAC over Vikings, Bills over Washington of course.
Panthers - Seahawks, probably Panthers so both are 1-2
Now normally following the theme of the NFC teams losing other than Dallas of course. I am going with Bears over Chiefs, yeah right, but one can dream.
TB over Philly
Bengals over Rams. But will Burrow play?

Whenever I watch a game that doesn’t include my team, I always pick a team to root for. Usually it’s the underdog. I’m having a hard time deciding who I should root for in this game. I can’t stand either team, so I’m trying to determine what outcome would benefit the Cowboys most. I think either the Cowboys or Eagles will win the division, but either way I think the Cowboys end up with a better record than the Giants. So for me, I think it comes down to playoff seeding, and any loss for the 49ers could result in one or more home games for the Cowboys. So for that reason I’ve gotta go with the Giants.

There is NO debate. You root for the Giants. Cowboys are playing for home field against the Niners and Eagles at this point.

That might not be so out of the question. Mayfield is a better pocket passer than Hurts. Hurts lives off passing against run defenses. The Eagles are trying to be a more pocket passing team but it hasn't worked out well. They had to go back to run heavy against the Vikings. So don't count Tampa out. If they're not totally inept against the Run, they could win this game.
