These are the remaining games until Romo is back. I believe the Cowboys have to win 3 out 4 games to keep our playoff hopes alive, as I can easily see the giants winning 3 out of their next 5 games. The Giants remaining schedule also isnt as bad as ours.

Giants schedule (3-2):
@Eagles, Cowboys, @Saints, @ Bucs, Patriots

Cowboys schedule (2-3):
BYE, @Giants, Seahawks, Eagles, @Bucs

I say the Giants only win 2 games of those 5. But I can understand why you think 3.

If somehow, someway, we can beat the Giants and the Eagles, then we should beat TB, we will be in good shape. And if the Giants do lose 3 of their 5, we can be in very good shape.

All big ifs though.

I just have a feeling that Saits game may come back to haunt us. Sucks, but a big missed opportunity

The Giants are not that good. I doubt that they will end up better than 9-7. We do not have to go 3-1 to finish better than that, and should not expect a backup QB-led team to be able to do that. If we win three of the next five, we have a very good shot of winning the division when Romo returns. If we win two of the next five, we probably have no margin for error.

All the games listed for us are winnable games--there are no NE Patriots on the list.

And the Gmen seem to always have a mid-season slump. They should not print playoff tickets yet.

Their schedule is easier than ours.

And they came very close to losing to the then-1-3 49ers last week. There's no guaranteed victory on their schedule, so even if they manage to win three of their next five to improve to 6-4, they could easily got 3-3 down the stretch.

In my opinion, the Commanders are the biggest obstacle in the division. They are a much better team with Cousins at QB and they play the softest schedule.

The good news with them is we play both of our games against them after Romo return. Now, those could be must-win games, depending on how the next six games shake out.

But the Commanders always find a way to get to Romo....

Can't afford that this year.

So are we Eagles fans this week?

Was thinking about this earlier, who to root for. If Giants wins, Eagles getting further out. And we get the giants again to close that gap.
Or Eagles win, they are both 3-3, and we play both again. So then can get back into first. and if we can beat both of them all the better.

Commanders seem to get pressure and sack Romo in the first game we play them each of the past few years.

Commanders shouldn't scare us when Romo comes back unless this team isn't what fans felt it could be when healthy.

You have a lot more faith in the Giants than I do. I can see them losing to the Eagles, to Dallas, to the Saints AND the Patriots.
