Gibbs Gets Another One Up On Parcells

Gibbs is just going through the motions. He just relies on GW and his defense. He knows he'll get all the calls anyways after his incessant whining.

Don't hate.... :nana:

Yes, I "hate" the actions of 'Skins fans who spend more time here than in their own forums. Yes, I "hate" Gibbs' and 'Skins fans' - who take after their leader's - incessant whining about officiating against their team, when every game I've watched I've seen the complete opposite situation. Yes, I "hate" the fact that Tagliabue is a known 'Skins fan and JJ hater.

But I couldn't care less that the 'Skins are in the playoffs because I believe their right to be there holds equivocal legitimacy.

I am not sure what you are implying about Tagliabue, I don't see any conspiracy against the Boys.

Not sure why you hate Gibbs. HOF Coach.

There probably was a little too much whining about calls, but I didn't see Tagliabue helping us out...

Believe me there is a ton of time spent by Cowboys fans on our boards as well.

I don't hate Gibbs. I hate his incessant whining, as was exemplified by myuse of the possessive apostrophe in my previous post.

Commanders' supposedly have calls against them -> Gibbs whines incessantly -> calls change and seem to favor the Commanders. I just call it like I see it.

Ever since the fiasco concerning the JJ - Tag disagreement back in the early 90s which JJ won at the expense of Tags' ego, I don't trust the guy when it comes to the 'Boys. I still believe in the integrity of the game, but some things just make me wonder.

Yes,,he had a lot more talent than BP. We were a player away from an arena team.

If Gibbs really had more talent to work with then Parcells did then how did Parcells go 10-6 his 1st year. And Gibbs did worse his 1st year. Face it....Gibbs has done alot more in 2 years then Parcells has in 3. Gibbs is just a better coach. That simple.

He also had the misfortune of learning 4 different offensive systems in 4 years and STILL succeeding. Campbell couldn't do it without Brown or Williams? Watch the Virginia Tech game his senior year.

And let's, for arguments sake, say that you are right. Then my argument of him succeeding would still be validated by your arguments. He would have the great RB (Portis), a good OL, and one of the best defenses in the league. I guess we would get a player that "seems much better than he is". I think I'd be content with that.

First let me say, there is no bigger Auburn Homer than me. My little girl, who is 22 months old, is named Auburn, and i have been watching Auburn football for the last 30 years. And i really wish nothing but good things for Auburns players and esp those in last yrs draft. But the surprise to me in the draft was Campell going in the 1st round and Ratliff not going to very late.. ratliff will turn out to be the biggest steal in recent draft history. Jason is a good QB and he will be a good QB in the nfl,, but he will not be a great QB. The problem with campell,, after watching him for 4 years has always been his ability to read defenses. He was successful his senior year because borges "dumbdowned' the Offense which is easy to do when you the best 2 backs in the country and most teams are playing 8 in the box the whole game. I wish him well and i hope he is successful in the league, but I don't see him ever being a pro bowl type QB in the league. He has the arm, no doubt there, but I think his mental ability will be his downside. And I really think that was a wasted pick on him the 1st round,, I think you could have still got him in the second or maybe even third.

the Skins will get embarrassed by the Seahawks, trust me. i just wonder if Gibbs will be man enough to congratulate the winner... *no class Gibbs**crybaby*

Parcells is a heck of a coach. Getting you guys 10 wins with Carter and Hambrick at QB and RB was an amazing accomplishment. You've gone from 5 wins a year to 9 or 10. That's all good. I think you guys just suffered a few too many injuries this year. It happens.

Gibbs is a heck of a coach too. More astounding than winning in the playoffs is our 5-1 division record. And sweeping you all, which is a huge deal. Norv got us to the playoffs once in 99, but we still got swept by your Boys and lost to a terrible Eagles team that year. The real progress here can be seen in the last three games of the regular season. With everything on the line we crushed all three division opponents. Noone has done that up here since ... well, since Gibbs.

I don't know if I'd say Gibbs is a clearly superior coach, but I'm glad he's back.
