I watch the coaches film when i can get it it but the archives at NFLrewind can be spotty. I have not been involved in organized football since middle school. my parents would not let me play after I got my bell rung a couple times.

Im sure in coaching circles they have their own way of identifying, categorizing, and the like that I am 100% clueless of. That is part of the fun of it. Trying to figure all that stuff out.

Fuzzy, sometimes a life's road has to take a journey not foreseen. But where a niche is desired, and emotions are worth it, being a NFL fan can be quite rewarding. Hey, Fuzzy, I played...but there is a wealth of information laying around out there, that I can benefit from as well.

Don't feel bad on the journey, it was yours...and enjoy our friend.

I don't see how that helps this year because all we would receive is a pick next year. Therefore I don't see that happening.

That's fair, although, a pick next year is better than a release and nothing.

Which may end up being a bad thing if we lose somebody good because of the numbers (cuts). Broadus was talking about that on Talkin Cowboys. Who you gonna keep and who you gonna cut?

I don't think it's that hard right now, based on the first preseason game because Street was the only new one who showed he was worth keeping, giving us five: Bryant, Williams, Beasley, Harris and Street.

Now, maybe Byrd and Boyd show more this week, but right now, I'd only consider either as practice squad candidates.

Newsome had some nice catches in the game also.

Forgot about Newsome. He was probably the next best after Street in the first game. Boyd was having trouble creating separation, but Newsome was able to get a little.

He has really good measureables. He's not as big as Boyd, but he probably faster.

Nice route runner, very good hands, loved the pick at the time and still do.

Since Dallas is likely going to be hard-pressed to keep a sixth receiver, it will be interesting to see if any among Newsome, Byrd, Boyd and Briscoe shows out enough to force the Cowboys to keep them. In the first game, I didn't see enough from this group to make me say we have to have that guy.
