Gilmore and Kendricks Available

I think expectations for this defense were too high to begin with. After trading Parsons we should have expected the pass rush would disappear. They don't have a playmaker left on defense.

We also knew Diggs was coming back from a knee injury - his second - and missed most of the 2024 season. And he came back earlier than expected. Why did we expect he would be full speed and back to his preinjury level of play?

The same question for Sam Williams. He missed the entire 2024 season with an injury. He does not look the same as he did before the injury either.

Bland was also hurt last year. He came back but only for a few games. And why did we expect Elam to be any good here when he wasn;t in Buffalo?

I think the team expected too much from Murray and Sanborn. Murray has been awful. Sanborn at least tries hard and seems to know what to do, he just does not have the speed anymore to do it.

We saw what a liability Donovan Wilson can be in pass coverage last year. Did we expect a offseason would correct this? Hooker has been average sine he got here.

I think we expect some players to be a lot better, and maybe that was unrealistic. Guys like Kneeland, Sam Williams, Mazi, and Liufau we had high hopes for but all have disappointed.

Finally, we expected too much from rookies. Ezeiruaku was hyped up after the draft and while he appears to be getting better, by some accounts, how much to rookie second round players contribute normally?

And while we are at it, why have any expectations the Revel is going to add anything to the defense when he gets back?

Because they don't actually care, let's be honest

Gilmore and Kendricks Available
Gilmore - heck no. He is waaaaaaaay past his time. We need to ride with what we have.

Kendricks - Should have been resigned in the off season. He is better than those scrubs we got instead.

That's a lot of guys that can't play.

Why are people OBSESSED with squandering resources and future picks on THIS team? It's OVER! DONE! KAPUT!

We are 1/3 through the season and our defense can't get off the field on 3rd and 25. Seriously?!?

Why not give one or both a call? It can't hurt. Is it a numbers/roster issue?

Any other FAs who could help?

Not that Eberflus knows what to do with players anyway.

But he's on the verge of losing this locker room like he did in Chicago if something doesn't give.
Yes it can hurt. Jerry and staff had ALL OFFSEASON to get better...and pretty much went shopping at the red dot sale.

Hippocratic Oath: First...do no harm.

Because Jerry doesn't care. He threw away last season without a blink, and went into this season with a McCarthy failure hire and the proven loser Eberfalse running the show. Not even going to talk about Micah.
I truly can't believe why all fans don't understand this organization is not serious about winning.

I don't know why not Do you have their number why don't you hit them up homie. Seriously there has to be a reason i'm thinking something like this is going to be done at the bye.... Have time to host free agents figure out who they can move off the rosters to make room so there's a big lot of decisions that have to be made guys coming off IR, A lot of them are on defense.... Look you realize that you have to move a lot of pieces This ain't easy this is something that they have to figure out who they can take off the actual active roster who can come up IR where they fit and then you got to worry about who they bring it in as a free agent..

Sure with seven games left after the buy or whatever it is going down the stretch our toughest stretch of the year probably that would be the time to bring in older free agents that may not have seventeen games in them but they can do it after that get acclimated to the team during the bye...

ASante Samuels is there but he's in no better position than guys like we have right now in Casein Rebel and Butler coming off injuries we don't know how much they can offer when they're getting back late in the year off IR.. Samuels is still there because he's got some major injury problems and who knows if he's even ready to pass a physical...

Right but which one or two could help the Cowboys after the bye week? i'm thinking kendricks is number one he's over there shooting up social media sitting by his old cowboy helmet... When the safeties are what we need to look at along with linebackers not corners we got corners galore coming off IR....

You know what they're not going to look at bringing in a corner we have a lot of corners coming off IR we still have digs and bland healthy they should be healthier now reedy's playing pretty good. So yeah with Butler Carson and Revels still there how about the safeties that's who we look at safeties and linebackers.....

Kendricks turned down an offer from another team.

I don't think he wants to play unless a team way overpays him.

He looked slow last season.

i liked maurice hurst.
wanted him in that draft.
i'd take a look.
maybe consider jeremiah ledbetter.
if neville gallimore is still out there,i'd consider bringing him back.
maliek collins is the one i'd love a reunion with but he ain't available.
hurst.
ledbetter.
gallimore.
i'd look at adding one of'm.

Cowboys fans like this guy CRAVE MEDIOCRITY. He always wants to run it back with old components of previous failed teams.

Honestly would sign both those guys immediately. I would look to trade a 4th or a 5th for an above average linebacker and maybe a 5th or 6th for a safety. The linebackers and safeties are a huge liability atm, it's been years since they have been this bad and linebackers one of the worst I have ever seen.

None of them.
You know what at one point people thought Joe Flacco should have been done washed and out of this league and now look got traded away from the Browns and having some success over there with Cincinnati who they thought the season might be over but somehow Joe Flacco might be their savior how do you know that some of these players may or may not step up you don't know that for a fact these are veterans that save their legs and their bodies from training camp and grueling Four Seasons of 17 games but think about maybe they can play eight to ten games they might be at full strength and might even be better that they came in right now versus later..

gilmore , simmons, and Kendricks

Think about it non guaranteed contracts and I know you don't want to bring him in for two weeks and then cut them that would suck for them but there's no guarantees they literally would come in and almost like they do in the NBA with 10 day contracts they'll play a game or two if the Cowboys don't think they're helping they can cut them It's as simple as that can they be better than what's on the field now whether it's the starters or the role players you know the depth maybe one of them is better than the 3rd safety linebacker or corner..

Looking at this as just that how can it be any worse maybe veteran presence like coaches on the field maybe they can help Matt But in my opinion you're probably right but I'd like to see something if it's you don't need to trade draft picks for it why not?
