No assurances he would make a good NFL coach and you can’t just ride an RB and win a SB. We have to improve our passing game and not rely so heavily on the running game to win football games. Foles had to put up some big numbers in the playoffs and Super Bowl for Philly to get it done.

Obviously football is just not about a running game and Meyer has definitely coached well balanced teams. Put strong coaching staffs together that develop players working in his system utilizing his philosophies.

Not many real successful college head coaches have been able to make a successful transition to NFL head coach. We all know Jimmy Johnson did it and although it took some time Pete Carroll did it. Most of these college head coaches don’t know how to handle adult NFL players. You can’t treat them like college kids. I believe that’s one of the problems Nick Saban had in the NFL who’s arguably the greatest college HC ever. Chip Kelly was an awful NFL head coach and so was Bobby Petrino.

They couldn’t handle the pressure cooker scrutiny of being in the NFL. Saban was horrible with the NFL media, sweating and sounding like a nutcase at times. These coaches aren’t used to losing. You were talking about Meyer riding Zeke crazy. That’s not going to get us far. We rode Murray and Zeke to rushing titles and we didn’t get far. I would certainly take Meyer over Garrett but you have to have a solid passing game and defense in the NFL.

Reich is just a glorified QB coach. It was Pederson’s Offense, and Pederson called the plays. Frank Isn’t head coach ready, but I’m open to learning something I don’t know.

It is a different game and league. Absolutely.

Just remember, we got first time HC's like McVay who went from Coordinators to having success their first year. Doug Pederson 2nd year as a HC.

It's time in the NFL teams have to look beyond just the "old boys" club.
