The reason they are top 5 in my opinion is because we see that the same defense that carried them last year is still there. With the defense they have you likely won't see a high-powered team like the Vikings or Colts or Saints put up huge numbers and high scores. They excel at destroying a QB's confidence and stopping the run. As long as they do that you have to account for that factor.
It just so happens they have a good offense too.
Having said that, I hate them and hope they go to the SB vs Dallas and lose.![]()

I think the Cowboys are capable of beating any of the top 5 teams in the league....but I'm not ready to put them there until they show that we're actually seeing some consistency rather than a hot streak.
The Saints are good...but I think we saw last night that they can be beaten. They narrowly escaped last night's game with a win against a team that we thoroughly dominated.
The Patriots are getting back into form.
Minnesota is impressive right now...but I fully expect them to fall off a bit. Farve is old and Peterson is an injury waiting to happen. If they last the whole season at that level it would be a miracle. For them.
Peyton Manning is a machine. I used to hate the guy, and call him overrated, but watching him guide a football team is something that our generation should truly pay attention to. He's a very special player. Funnier than hell too.
