Give Rod Smith a chance

DMC and ALF are good backs, but id like to see Rod get a good long look. I have a feeling about him. Playing on the same team as your brother always brings out the best in kids.

It wont be up to Zekes level but we'll get solid production.

I don't see it he is to valuable on special teams and his role as a situational runner/receiver. He is not built for 20 plus totes a game. My opinion here but don't you think it is odd not one peep out of Dmac this entire time of being inactive..nothing at all...I personally believe he has been told if Zeke gets suspended you will be the guy if he doesn't we will seek a trade or release you...the only thing that makes sense to me holding him out this entire time.

Rod Smith does seem like a full force north south back.
I dont see the type of jump cut or elusiveness you get from the top tier backs but I dont see that from DMAC either.

I just cant help but to assume we will see a 50/50 split of Morris and Dmac.

Dmac got paid last year when he didn't have to be. He's repaying the favor by being a team player. Imo

Think we'll see all three at various points in the game. McF on third downs and Smith being the guy for short distances.
Curious to see if Alf is the main 1st down and 2nd down back.

We just need to hit the hole. Zeke wasn't getting touched behind the line. Just got a feeling about this kid. We'll see

I don't know if special teams value with trump offensive production value.(dont know how he will perform either).

I get the feeling that Darren McFadden has accepted and warmed up to his role a long time ago.
He realizes he wont suddenly be a superstar and probably enjoys this point in his career where he doesnt have to get mangled week in and week out.
He seems very mature and appreciative for what he has in life.

Makes sense to have a guy with fresh legs that has been a viable starter on this team before. It would also make it hard for other teams to plan for as no one really knows how the rb position will play out. I have a feeling they view DMC as the bellcow with Alf and Rod Smith sprinkled in.

Me too, looking forward to it. And this line can open holes for anyone. McFadden has a great year a few years back, lets not forget he didnt start until, what was it, game 4, and still got about 1,100. His legs are fresh, so are Rods and Ezekial can get a nice rest and get a few games in before the playoffs. let's do this.

I agree 100% obviously. He is the best RB on the roster outside of Zeke.
