Why is everyone giving up already? We can still take the division if the 9ers and Dallas take care of business against Philly.http://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine Check out the simulator, I like our chances!
The egirls keep finding a way to win.

The 49ers would have to beat Philly and the Cowboys would likely have to win out to have any chance of winning the NFC East. Don’t see all of that happening.

Few are actually giving up, but even if the Eagles lose to SF and then the Cowboys, they're still in the lead in the division. Currently their one loss is to a non-conference opponent. The Cowboys three losses are all to NFC opponents. If the season ended with them at a tie for Wins-losses, the Eagles win the division based on that. The Cowboys need to have more wins in total, OR The Eagles would have to lose to a third NFC opponent (after losing to the Cowboys and 49ers) for it to go to point differential.

Let's look at the remaining game for the Eagles: 49ers, Cowboys, Seahawks, Giants, Cardinals, Giants. All NFC opponents. Do you really see the Giants having a remote chance? I don't. I don't really see the Cardinals having much of a chance either. That leaves the Seahawks as the game that it hinges on (Assuming the 49ers and the Cowboys beat the Eagles). It's unrealistic to think the Eagles are going to lose out or even come close to that.

Now let's look at the Cowboys remaining games: Seahawks, Eagles, Bills, Dolphins, Lions, Commanders. I think the Cowboys will beat the Seahawks and Eagles. The Dolphins and Lions games could go either way. I'll pencil the Commanders in as an Auto-win for the Cowboys. Even assuming the Cowboys win out in this scenario, that puts them at 14-3.

The Eagles are already at 10-1. They would need to win 4 to match that. 3 of those are against the Giants and Cardinals... Those are near auto-wins. So it all boils down to the Eagles-Seahawks game for the Cowboys, and that is with help from the 49ers. Yes, the Cowboys have a chance, but it's not -just- about them and the 49ers taking care of business. The Cowboys also need other help if they are going to win the Division. It's more likely that they'll secure a wild card spot.

Because most of them didn't have the Cowboys winning more than 8-9 games.....now they are projecting their scared Mentality onto another Goalpost!!

Given the http://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine scenario, I like the Cowboys chances for getting to the NFC Championship. I see them trouncing the Falcons and they have a great shot at beating the Eagles. The Eagles didn't beat the Cowboys in their most recent match. The Cowboys beat the Cowboys. My previous post was merely about winning the division. It's unlikely they do that. But beat the Eagles in the playoffs? Definitely a good shot of that. Beating the 49ers in the NFC Championship? Verrrry unlikely. Still, this is probably their best shot at advancing past the divisional round simply because they won't be facing the 49ers (in the current scenario)
