I am glad that the Saints beat the Cards today. Now when the Cowboys beat the Vikings and then the Saints both on the road, the number 1 and 2 seeds in the NFC, there will be no doubt who the best team in the NFC is. :starspin :starspin

Saints looked pretty good today, but as Brees pointed out after the game, we've already beaten them once...

I had a really bad feeling last week when the Cardinals beat the Packers. I knew that Green Bay had a much better chance of beating the Saints than the Cardinals did. Oh well.

And like they were the week before against Green Bay, Arizona's Defense was awful.

I won't be convinced until they beat the Commanders in the playoffs

The goal is to win the SB. IMO the team has more than proved themselves this year.

I'm not sure if I thought the Saints looked good more than The Cardinals looked horrible. Many things the Saints did to the Cards I thought the Saints wouldn't be able to do against the Cowboys.

I really didn't want to see the Saints again this year but now of course the road to the SB goes through NO. They have a very potent offense and an opportunistic defense. They are also much more balanced offensively than the Cards were.

The Cards would have been an easier draw because they are an inferior team and we would get to play them at home.

I'm still excited to be just two wins away from a shot at the SB.

I would rather play at home, but we do match up well against them...

We just have to get past Minny... and we haven't done that yet...

1992 ---- road game in Candlestick against the Niners for the NFC Title.

(also happens to be our last road win in the playoffs, 0-5 since then.)

...yeah, they dug themselves too deep a hole with turnovers though...

We also won at L.A.(Rams) in 75 and 78.(Both years, we lost to Pittsburgh in the SB)

EDIT: We also won at San Fran in 1970 en route to our first SB appearance.

A little trivia for those who may have forgotten... who was the last team that we beat in the playoffs (before this year I mean)?

You guessed it, it was the Vikings and we absolutely creamed them by like 24 or 28 points or something like that. It was one of the first games I remember as a kid as I was just getting into football around that time. Brad Johnson was Minny's QB at the time I believe, and I vaguely remember George Teague having some kind of impact in that game (random, I know). After that game I thought for sure we were headed for the Super Bowl again... but unfortunately we all know how that worked out for us. :(

Ahh memories. Hopefully tomorrow's outcome can be at least somewhat like 96 playoff game.

Cunningham was still retired. I dont think he came back until that record season in '98.
