Who did we lose to in that playoff game after we beat Minny?

A little trivia for those who may have forgotten... who was the last team that we beat in the playoffs (before this year I mean)?

You guessed it, it was the Vikings and we absolutely creamed them by like 24 or 28 points or something like that. It was one of the first games I remember as a kid as I was just getting into football around that time. Brad Johnson was Minny's QB at the time I believe, and I vaguely remember George Teague having some kind of impact in that game (random, I know). After that game I thought for sure we were headed for the Super Bowl again... but unfortunately we all know how that worked out for us. :(

Ahh memories. Hopefully tomorrow's outcome can be at least somewhat like 96 playoff game.

Lets hope history repeats itself!!!!

Thank god we don't face the Panthers. They seem to beat us everytime. LOL

The Cardinals couldn't buy a pass rush out there, it was pretty pathetic. They couldn't stop the run either.

I'm not sure if I thought the Saints looked good more than The Cardinals looked horrible. Many things the Saints did to the Cards I thought the Saints wouldn't be able to do against the Cowboys.

I agree 100%, I'm not taking anything away from the Saints thats the team that was in front of them and they got the job done but Arizonas defense is just terrible and their offense was not on at all.

Cunningham was still retired. I dont think he came back until that record season in '98.

Saints looked good but let's get serious, the Eagles or Packers would've not given up 45 points.

They wouldn't because the Egirls gave up 34 points. Oh, and the Packers gave up 51. :lmao2:

And Leon Lett was suspended, Haley was out with injury and Novacek didn't play all year.

No Haley.
No Lett
No Irvin after two plays.
No Deion Sanders after halftime.
No Moose by the third quarter.

I was shocked the Pack gave up that many points...

Not sure what happened to that defense last week... just one of those things...

I never thought AZ had a chance... I wish the Saints had scored more... it would have given them more cockiness...

That 51 was a fluke and you know it. They shot their juice the week before and came in too cocky then fell behind fast off of turnovers.

I dont see how anybody can say what GB's defense gave up was a fluke when they were just as terrible against Pittsburgh a couple of weeks previous to that game.

Their Pass D has been feast or phantom for the last two years.

If we play well tomorrow, it's in the bag... but playing well is not a given...

I wanted Arizona to win as I wanted the NFC Championship at home...

We still need to win tomorrow, but NO doesn't scare me if we win...

They gave up 37 to that great Steeler offense a few weeks back. They are who I thought they were: slightly overrated. Same with the Egirls.

I believe you have coined a new phrase, how is it to be used?
