It will be a beautiful thing if it keeps developing this, especially if, as you mentioned, teams lay off JJ and he makes them pay for it. As for Witten, him catching 50 clutch passes is a more positive sign than him hauling in 80+ like last year (not taking anything away from his amazing season last year.)Nors said:Dale - you are lucky enough to be on the field and at the games. I too was luck enough to sit at 15 yard line 15 rows up and watch Glenn a lot 96-00.
What is AMAZING about him is his seperation. He flat out is man up almost uncoverable. That was apparant fast and teams started doubling him and taking him out of game some. No sense messing with him....
Now with JJ, Witten its almost like teams have overlooked him and he's man on man and eating up corners. Pick your poison! Roll safety over him you have Witten and JJ now jamming it down your throat!
Chess match - we have the pieces now.....
Post of the day. If you can, please share more.Dale said:The irony about all this is I briefly chatted with Drew's dad during training camp, and he predicted all of this. I know, I know...he's his dad. What was he going to say? But the things he said were spot on, and from my past encounters with him, he's a pretty straight forward kind of guy.
He kept saying that Terry Glenn is one of the most underrated players in the league, that people simply do not understand what kind of talent he is.
Not to reveal too much of what was said, but he said this would be Drew's best season considering all that was in place around him. He definitely knew what he was talking about.
Gave me chills at the time just thinking about the possibilities. Still does.
