We need a vet to fill in RT, Free is not ready! Runyan would fill in great until if/when Colombo gets back for the playoffs.

So how are we supposed to see if Free, or anyone else can actually play.
We play the Commanders and Raiders, let's see how he does.

Free is not the problem here, it's Flo and Dre...

If he had anything left he'd be in Philly

I was about to say the same thing.

We're better off with what we have and I imagine we will sign the other McQuiston brother this week sometime.

This from wikipedia so take it for what it's worth

In February 2009, Runyan's contract expired with the team and he had microfracture surgery on his right knee. In mid-August he was cleared to play, but as of November 8, 2009 he does not have a contract with an NFL team. However, he worked out for the Eagles on September 10.[3]

He's 36 and coming off of microfracture surgery....no thanks

Free is another dud big by Jerry. Dont draft Tackles unless you draft high in round one. Sure there are exceptions but most are 1st round picks. Use those 2nd rounders on WR/LB/HB that fall.

That makes no sense. Free has been given no chance to prove if he can or cant play. He looked fine yesterday.

Lets see how he handles this second half of the season before declaring him a bust or bad player.

If he turns out to be a good one, then next year we have columbo and free to replace adams.

If the OLine would cut down on the penalties, we would be fine. Having 8 to 10 penalties a game as a team is killing any chances of putting teams away. I know one thing, if we don't find a replacement for Flo this year and he has to play next year, Romo will be on IR by game 3. Adams is done...

Microfracture Surgery

I wasn't aware of this. With that bit of information then I don't think it's worth even wasting our time to have him here for depth.

I'd rather call Jonathan Ogden and see if I could budge him out of retirement.

More realistically, we will sign Paul McQuistan and hope like heck Doug Free can do the job.

The only good news out of all this is we will go into the off-season (free agency and the draft) with a much better picture of what we have in Free.

I want to see what Free has to offer.

I do too, at some point they need to find out if some of these backups can play or not. Hopefully he is ready to step in and do a nice job.

Damn that Joe Buck, he had to mention that Dallas was one of 6 teams to start all 5 of their offensive linemen this season.
