We need a vet to fill in RT, Free is not ready! Runyan would fill in great until if/when Colombo gets back for the playoffs.

PLAYOFFS? Don't talk about PLAYOFFS! PLAYOFFS? I just hope we can win another game.

Free is another dud big by Jerry. Dont draft Tackles unless you draft high in round one. Sure there are exceptions but most are 1st round picks. Use those 2nd rounders on WR/LB/HB that fall.

This pure comedy.

Name the last time the Cowboys used a 1st round pick on an offensive lineman.

As I recall, we still one a few Super Bowls.

Not a whole lot of 1st rounders spent on OT's by the Pats, Colts, Giants and Steelers on their recent runs.

I do too, at some point they need to find out if some of these backups can play or not. Hopefully he is ready to step in and do a nice job.

Damn that Joe Buck, he had to mention that Dallas was one of 6 teams to start all 5 of their offensive linemen this season.

Agreed.............

Chaos/injury creates opportunity.

Roy leads to Austin.

Bledsoe leads to Brady

etc, etc.........

The way I see it.........

Our future LT learns & inproves during practice, in weight room, watching film, etc for 2.5 years.

Comes in half way through his 3rd season and gets live reps at RT spot filling in for injured Colombo.

That's a good way to get used to NFL game speed at a position that is slightly less hectic than LT.

Take over at LT next year and we draft our future at RT in 2010. Have that guy (Kyle Calloway RT Iowa) groomed behind Colombo for 1-2 years and also be our game day swing tackle.

Jerry is a horrible GM but good thing we were patient with Romo, Austin, James, etc.

I know. Why don't we DRAFT offensive linemen like Sebastion Vollmer or Will Beatty in the second round, instead of trading out?? I watched Vollmer just stone one of the greatest pass rushers of all time in Dwight Freeney last night. Everyone thought it was such a reach...except the Pats. What we need is a personnel man who actually KNOWS personnel.

We lose ONE OT to injury, and you're talking free agents. That's because this team has no concept of drafting them. Neither Free nor McQuistan are NFL quality OTs, yet we draft NONE out of 12 picks! Please don't even mention Brewster. He's purely an OG that we reached 2-3 rounds for.

If they don't draft OLs early & often next year, the oldest line in the league will be one of the worst lines in the league in short order.
