I understand that Doom ..... but the guy had a broke hand that required 2 surgeries during the offseason .....

Just because he is an idiotic jerk does not mean he did not have legitimite reasons for dropping the ball.

If that is the reason then great that should not present a problem this season so I expect the excessive drops to come to an end.

3rd and 8 with the game on the line... I say Witten gets the ball. If I remember right, the last pass of the Seattle playoff game went to Witten to set up the potentially game winning field goal, didn't it? What about the Giants game this year... 1 minute left and Romo throws to Witten for 42 yards to set up the game winning field goal.

I say Witten is the go-to guy.

Let's not forget about the Commanders game when Romo hit Whitten with the perfect pass to set up what should have been the winning field goal just like in the Giants game.

I remember just sitting there and not talking for a few hours. Talk about highs and lows. One second we are about to kick the game winning field goal after an incredible throw from Romo, and the next second we lose.

I agree the Skins and Seahawks game was the toughest to swallow this past season. I was left in a daze after each one.

For the life of me, I can't remember Romo hitting anyone named Whitten for anything all year long.:

Or the Giants game, where Witten set up the game winning field goal.

Its pretty apparent to me that Witten rises to the occasion when we need it.

So what was his excuse in the other 10 years when he dropped a lot of passes? The dude has led the league in dropped passes for most of the years he has played.

I would go with Witten right now unless we draft Jarrett.
Link?

You get it to the guy who has been most successful in the past making situations such as those turn into something positive. That guy is hands-down, TO.

Bledsoe lost his starting job because he had problems understanding that too, so don't feel bad people.

The 2nd guy I say is, easily Witten.

It's the big guys you want to aim for, the ones that know how to use their body to make the catch. TO & Witten are our two big bodies running routes. Not only are they able to use their bodies to make the tough catches in traffic, but they also have the ability to turn it up field and literally bulldoze over smaller defenders, adding more yards. Crayton and Glenn do have the hands, but with them I see 2 receivers who are in more need of being hit in stride to make anything happen after the catch. Crayton just doesn't have the speed or the power, and Glenn's first direction is downward it seems- like he found an invisible staircase in the middle of the field almost. I swear, sometimes it's like he gets hit and you can't even see below his knees anymore he's just so low to the ground. Hit him in stride though, and Glenn can do some nifty zig-zagging below sea-level.

To top it all off, big bodies are vastly easier for a QB to hit in a crucial situation. No need to be aiming for the tire hanging from the side of the barn when you can just sling it at the barn itself.

When you look at most Superbowl teams you find a common denominator in their passing games.

They all have a clutch receiver when those tough 3rd & long situations arise.

This Dallas team doesnt have that in my opinion. TO drops too many passes and Glenn is not a great short pass receiver.

Witten is very good, but not great and TE's are easier to cover than a quality WR.

This is why I think Crayton is crucial to our success. I really expect to see more 3WR sets next year.

In the 90's Emmitt ran from the alignment well at times and Crayton gives Romo the much needed short range target.

So tell me 3rd & 8 with the game on the line, who gets the ball?
Any one whose open because that is what Romo, does so well find the open guy.

Witten, seems okay to me too he did put the team in at least three situations to win games last season two we lost Commanders, and the Seahawks.

Then won game two against the Giants, thanks to Witten's clutch catch as with seconds left in the fourth quarter who do some people want at TE here, Antonio Gates, sure he's more athletic than Witten, but he's no slouch when it comes to catching the ball.

Witten, has enough speed to stretch the seam to beat LBs, and Ss and some of us aren't still happy with it and we've seen the things Witten, brings to our offense and the plays he made but some still complain with these theories about Witten, being too stiff, and not athletic enough.

If he's so stiff then why did he beat Will Demps, for that 42 yd catch to set up the Gramatica game winning FG.

I can guarantee that most defenders in the NFL, would say otherwise about Jason being "stiff" he sure doesn't look it to me.

Funny ....... why has no one posted his "career drops" stat? Since he has lead the league in drops every year he has been in the league seems like it would be easy to find.
