It's odd to see Romo's name next to giants such as Meredith, Aikman, Staubch. Romo is not even in Danny White's league, not yet, anyway.
but I see a lot lesser names among the greats of other teams, so I guess it's all in fun.

I love Romo. He may yet take us to a Super Bowl, but he ain't there yet, not in the league of legends.

I understand with the Giants, Although Simms and Hostlettler won as many Super Bowls as Griese/Marino.

An argument could also be made for Brady/Plunkett/Grogan to be on the list.

I'm surprised they didn't list Y.A. Tittle with the 49ers since he played for them for 10 seasons and with the Giants for only 4. True his best numbers were with NY but still...

I am sure Danny White broke a lot of records, too, but iffin you don't win the big ones (excluding Marino) they will rarely consider him a great.

For a long time I have firmly made the point that no franchize matches the depth of the Boys. With the Exception of the years after Aikman we have never had more than a few until the new guy comes in.

SOme forget Eddie Lebaron was very good as well. Lebaron, Meredith, Staubach, White. Consecutively or just about. Morton was good as well. Even Bledsoe gave us one good year.

I agree, people don't realize just how good we have been at QB for nearly our entire existence:

The only gap longer than a few years was between Aikman & Romo. Not too shabby. I think only the 49ERs can claim the same type of success at QB:

Frankie Albert
Y.A. Tittle *
John Brodie
Joe Montana *
Steve Young *
Jeff Garcia

The poll listed Tittle as a Giant but he played 10 years with the Niners before heading to NY for his final 4. They had Jim Plunkett and Steve DeBerg for a couple of years each between Brodie and Montana but neither one had their best seasons with the Niners. They are in a drought now like we were after Aikman. We'll see if Kaepernick can be their Romo, I hope not.

I voted and thought the Cowoys' vote total was impressive until I realized you could vote numerous times. Still, if you think about it, the Cowboys have had some great QBs over the years so maybe the vote total isn't too far off.
