Goal line stand

After the defense has been taking alot of grief about the game last week. I just thought I'd give them some props for that awesome stand on Washington's first drive. The Skins had like seven plays inside the five yard line. And four of them from the one. DENIED!!!!

I haven't seen that kind of determination out of the front line in years. Ferguson could not be moved. A true thing of beauty.
Good post. That was great, and all 11 guys deserve credit.

I especially loved Bradie on the fourth down and Fowler smacking Portis right in the face. :starspin

This was the high point of the game - I just got more and more pumped up with each play.

Too bad the Cowboys defense blew their load on that first drive

I fully endorse this part of your comment only. They played admirably but faltered at key instances during the game. Could they have played better? Sure. If they had held onto a couple of INTs and not clobbered receivers before the ball got to them this would have been better.

However, I cannot say they played "horribly" the rest of the game.

fowler made the key tackles on the goalline series on 2nd and fourth down
Maybe Bradie James can come in on the nickel since his pass defense is pretty solid - I'd like to see Fowler in there on some 1st and 2nd downs.
