God Bless Dennys!

Never understood this... yep... we have our fatties... but the young kids are ripped... I was one of the few in the day...

I am just over 6'2" and 200 but considered obese... what? That's your government standards...

Cant go by those scales. Everybodys body is different, and muscle is much denser than fat.

What, they don't have family tourist destinations in Canada?? You HAVE to come to our country to take a vacation??

You seem to hate America, yet you root for an American football team; isn't Canadian football good enough for you?? And for all your ranting about America, when you want to take a vacation, where do you go??

You sir, are a xenophobe, and a hypocrite... I for one am getting quite sick of your constant anti-American shots...

What are you talking aboot?

Food is awful at Dennys. Only the pancakes and a couple other things are even edible.

There is a brand new Denny's just down the road from me and it is very very good.

I can't say I eat anything else besides breakfast at Denny's and places like it(IHOP), I did go to one in Kentucky this past weekend, and it was pretty good.

Whenever I see the name Denny's it always reminds me of a comedian I saw one time who was talking about taking a friend of his to Denny's for the very first time.

He asked him what he thought and the guy said, "I wasn't impressed with their cuisine."

Cuisine? It's Denny's. That's like gong to a hooker and afterwards saying, "I didn't feel loved."

Always thought that was a hilarious line.

Was it Larry David? I could see him doing an episode on that.

When I do stop there on the way to work I get a Mary B with tomato and mayo as well.

Good Messy food...which can be an interesting time while trying to eat that messy morning sammich while driving to work. :laugh2:

To be fair, while it's definitely bad, this is not at all what you said earlier. It says that Americans have 33% of excess body weight. So, for example, if someone is supposed to weigh 160 lbs and there are two people on Earth, the American weighs 165 lbs while the other person weighs 160 lbs, the Americans would have 100% of excess body weight, but only 50.8% of total body weight.

6% of the population making up 33% of the total body weight would be absolutely horrendous.

Sorry the author of that article worded the whole thing strange as it pertains to the title "The world is fat"

Here is the source Link

North America has the highest average body mass of any continent (80.7 kg). In North America one tonne of human biomass corresponds to 12 adults. More than 70% of the North American population is overweight and biomass due to obesity is 1.2 million tonnes. North America has 6% of the world’s population but 34% of world biomass due to obesity

Huh yeah that's interesting if we actually did make up a third of the worlds biomass that would be awful.

Sorry if I came off as a jerk, that really wasn't my intention but going over my last post it looks like I did

It just looked strange because she threw in that word "excess" I just pulled up the first article on that so it is understandable for your reaction.

I haven't been to Denny's in a long time. I used to love going there late at night, eating and then drinking limitless coffee while doing school work until the wee hours the night/morning.

Why does every thread about food end up being about how fat Americans are, as if it's some big revelation?

Because they have nothing else

They have a place popular in Pittsburgh called Primanti Brothers in the strip district. They are "famous" for sandwiches with french fries and cole slaw also included with the sandwich. It is disgusting. I don't know why anyone would eat a sandwich that way.

Can't figure out why anyone would eat pancakes wrapped around sausage either. I love pancakes and like sausage but not the flavors at the same identical time.

To each their own.

Just consider the source.
