A) it's disgusting to see someone so big that they can't even move

B) they have health issues that ultimately we all pay for either via tax or higher insurance premiums

A) should I have the same attitude towards everyone that exhibits a behavior or a life style that disgusts me? Seems you had an issue with that in the Disney thread. Hypocrite much?

B) so you think regulating someones rights to do what they want should be policy to lower your taxes? Seems you had an issue with that when talking about immigration. Hypocrite much?

If you find them so deeply repulsive, perhaps you shouldn't go to Disney World (or any other place where large numbers of people congregate)...

B) they have health issues that ultimately we all pay for either via tax or higher insurance premiums

Did you forget you're CANADIAN??

That being the case, how can the health issues of obese Americans affect your taxes, or your insurance premiums??

Here's your bottom line-- if you find our country so very offensive, STAY OUT OF IT... you've heard of the phrase "ugly American"?? It refers to American tourists who go abroad, and generally act like jerks... apparently, there's such a thing as the "ugly Canadian" as well... folks like you give the country my Mom's family came from (Huntington, Ontario) a bad name... I guess I'll have to resist the urge to hate Canada because of you... I just don't want to be like you, in any way...

Problem solved... I promise, we won't miss you...

Oh, and one more time, look around you up there in Canada-- there's no shortage of fat people in your country, either...

1. Don't look at them

2. We? You don't live here so it's none of your business

Yeah, it's pretty freakin' stupid for a Canadian to come into a forum full of Americans and trash talk our country...

if I buy product from the US, then the tax in the US is probably higher than has to be because of them fatties so it does have an effect on me

Then stay on your side of the border, and buy Canadian... or don't they have the same quality of products in your country??

they screw you tax wise so why would you support them shoveling so much into their pieholes that it ultimately comes out of your pocket?

We don't support it, we just don't figure it accomplishes anything good by ripping on them... live and let live, you know??

I wonder, given how offended you are by obese Americans using scooters to get around Disney World, are you equally offended when an elderly American does the same?? I mean, every argument you've made about the obese is equally true for that demo-- they cause our insurance rates to go ever higher...

I guess we should take them out on an ice floe, and let them perish, eh??

B is the standard excuse used by those who want to stay on a high horse and judge everyones lifestyle. I have never met anybody that lived a 100% healthy lifestyle. Everybody has done things that cause insurance or taxes to go up to some extent.

obesity, smoking are two major causes of early death, both of which are easily preventable

How is saying that american portions are too large and that adds to your Iobesity problem trashing your country? if you notice others laughed at the fatness of a lot of Americans too but since I am so in your head you have steam coming out of your ears whenever you see one of my posts, you would rip them too.

As for why holiday in the US, be thankful I am spending money down in the US, your economy is still in the toilet so you should be thanking me for visiting instead of ripping my decision. You have a great country but that doesn't mean it is perfect, just like mine isn't.

I am pretty certain Americans rip Europe, France, Spain, Greece etc a lot for their economic and other issues yet those of you not effected by the recession visit there enough.

Yes, both are legal as well. I smoke and have a few extra pounds. I may die a few years early. It's my choice. I have no desire to live to the age of 90. It is a matter of freedom to me.

I don't get it. You can enjoy any of this 'bad' food in moderation. Stop freaking out people!

Stay active, work out, drink lots of water, eat healthy.

There's nothing wrong w/ pigging out every once in awhile.

Actually, an eminently fair comparison, but I'm not surprised you want to avoid answering it... you come off as if there's something almost criminal about having to use a scooter (or similar mobility device) to get around...

Yes, they are... but do the folks afflicted with them really deserve your scorn??

It must be wonderful to be perfect, like you...

Oh wait a sec, I forgot-- you're quite arrogant, and extremely judgmental... I could say more about your assorted character defects, but the board's rules forbid it... suffice it to say you're a nasty piece of work...

And given my druthers, I'd far rather associate myself with the fatties and the smokers than with a nasty piece of work like yourself...

You like to assume this air of moral superiority (even when you're defending sociopaths), but trust me, from where I sit you ain't better than anybody...

Perhaps because this started out a FUN thread, and you turned it into yet another anti-American diatribe... there was no need for you to crap on the fun, but you just couldn't resist indulging your "better than you" crapola...

In addition, as a Canadian, you should realize that your criticisms of America aren't appreciated on a forum filled with Americans... I guess for all your supposed superiority, you weren't blessed with the gift of common sense...

if you notice others laughed at the fatness of a lot of Americans too but since I am so in your head you have steam coming out of your ears whenever you see one of my posts, you would rip them too.

Nope... the difference is, they're Americans, and you're not... as for being in my head, in a way you're right-- I'm past sick of your constant anti-American shots, and intend to call you out whenever you go down that road...

This is especially true since it seems that approach annoys you...

Meanwhile, though you've noted that others have joined you in mocking the obesity of some Americans, others in here have joined me in mocking you for your behavior in this and other threads... what, you haven't figured out that most folks in here don't really like you??

As for why holiday in the US, be thankful I am spending money down in the US, your economy is still in the toilet so you should be thanking me for visiting instead of ripping my decision.

I'd prefer you stay out of my country, since you seem to hate it so much...

I am pretty certain Americans rip Europe, France, Spain, Greece etc a lot for their economic and other issues

Get back to me when you see me doing that on a board consisting mostly of the French, Spanish or Greeks... besides, "HE did it" is an argument I would have expected from your boy, not from a grown man... I guess you never quite grasped the concept of personal accountability... this is strange, coming from a man who apparently thinks he's morally superior to us obese, ignorant Americans...

Again, we're back to you being a nasty piece of work... downright contemptible, in fact...

I like the worst foods, but I compensate by eating in moderation and getting a little exercise... and when my health dictates it, I cut out certain food altogether...
