Gorija.

The first time I watched "King Kong" I was entertained.

The first time I watched "Godzilla-King of the Monsters" (the first film) I was mesmerized– And I have been ever since. No matter how cheesy the films got in the late 60's and early 70's, they were my cheese.

But anyway, Godzilla all the way!

I honestly don't get the fascination with them. For either of them to stand up at their size, it would defy the laws of physics.

That's true but, alot movies aren't realistic I love John wick but even a pro boxer or pro mixed martial artist or special ops servicemember wouldn't be able to do the stuff he did in those movies

It helps if you were an impressionable monster lover as a kid when the original came out and you didn't mind the bends in the rubber suit. The fact that this was set in Tokyo and Perry Mason was monster hunting only served to give authenticity and credence to it. I felt like he would eventually make it to our shores but he was a no show. And Godzilla wounded Perry Mason and put him in a wheelchair.

Even as a kid, the only reason I watched Godzilla movies was to laugh at the hilarious dubbing.

I can see it now like all great fights . The fight ends up in Las Vegas and on Pay Per View.

Godzilla has got some good offense. Shoots fire out of his mouth and a wicked tail spin. Kong has the power and can throw a mountain at Godzilla. Godzilla will want to take it to the water where has the advantage. Kong has jumping ability to close the distance not make it a long range fight

Godzilla wins over
Rodan
Anvirillo
Mecha- Godzilla
Mothra
Hydra

Kong wins over
Skullfaced Lizards
Mario in the barrel jumping arcade game.

Godzilla's weakness
Talks too much trash howling, than blowing fire eliminating the competition

King Kong's weakness
Sucker for a pretty blonde

I find that movies are better with appropriate expectations.

When I went to see Snakes on a Plane, my expectations were to see Samuel Jackson cursing at some cheeses cgi snakes. I wasn’t disappointed.

If they spent any money on the writing, they deserve a refund.

Any actual actors in it were asked not to act, it will just confuse the monsters.

It is what it is, a monster movie about monsters. The humans don't matter. They do not matter to the monsters and will not matter to you.

I agree with Sarek, the fight scenes were good to very good which is exactly why I watched it. It will really be enjoyed by kids so let your inner kid out to watch this and when your outer adult starts to say something like "that's dumb" or "this is really stupid", remind yourself this is for your inner kid and my inner kid did have a good time watching the monsters of his childhood have a mild disagreement.

I might add, I get HBO Max for free so I wasn't judging this as a value as I didn't Snyder's "Justice League". 4 hours of "now, was that in the original movie"?
