Goedert on trade block. Any interest?

Heck no. Why would we want Goedert? We have a better TE in Ferguson and some depth guys who are much younger and cheaper.

Ferg is not a better TE. Goedert was huge in the playoffs, has great hands and is an excellent blocker. He’s been a top 5 TE for years.

That’s the thing is he’s pretty quietly been around for 7 going on 8 years. He’s not bad and has made enough plays for name recognition but he’s not a top guy. I’d rather use another 6th or 7th in the draft.
Yeah didn’t realize it’s been that long seems like yesterday he was drafted. He’s that second tier and to me you can get second tier production we have that in Ferg.

He is always hurt and 30 ... there is a reason they are getting rid of him. No thank you.

If they cut or trade him it will cost them $9.5 million against the CAP. And they will take a take a $23 million CAP hit next year for money they pushed into a voidable year in his contract.

So it begins for the Eagles. First Slay, then Goedert. We will see this each year over the next 5 years for the Eagles. But they have been very good at finding replacements for the players they have lost so far.

Lane Johnson is on deck.

Because he is a forgotten man. Gets no attention when he sneaks out. Agree on the blocking though

what scares me is our front office trying to match wits with their front office. I can't see Jerry coming out on the winning side. So, I say no thanks.
LOL

Yeah we need for Jerry to stay in a bubble.

I'm afraid he'd try to get into a negotiation with Roseman for a TE, and by the time it was over, Parsons Lamb and Overshown would all be Eagles and they'd have our 1st round pick too.

I hadn't heard that he's available. If he wound up on the Cowboys it would haunt the Eagles until he retires. We haven't had someone like him since Witten retired, but this guy is a better blocker. The Eagles would never trade him to us

I have a feeling Lane keeps on playing. He doesn't look like he's slowed down at all. Almost hard to believe he was taken in the 2013 draft. At age 34 he made the PB again and was 2nd team AP. According to PFF, he gets left on an island more than any tackle in the game, beating out his teammate Mailata. He's just a machine out there.
