Why didn't BP play Romo against the rams.

Last year I just thought it may have been because they had prepped for Bledsoe playing and having a shot at the playoffs and it would be unfair to Romo to put him out there a bit unprepared.

I am not so sure now, I am starting to wonder if BP was afraid he would light it up and cause a QB controversy all offseason.

Why didn't he play Henson the year before that when the season was over. He stuck with Vinny and it really did no good.

I've trusted in everything Bill has done except for the QB situation.

Well after i've seen what Romo has done I don't question how Bill has handled anything.

Plus Bledsoe didn't deserve to be benched last year. You could've made the argument he belonged in the pro bowl last year.

I don't think anyone would have considered that a benching.

And we know why he did not play Henson, that is obvious now.

Because Romo was not ready last year...just ask Bill, he will tell you.

Give the dead horse a rest.

It was a dead horse before Romo's succes. I just think his succes sheds light on a different reason than anyone would have thought back then.

So excuuuuuuuuse me!!!!!!!!!

Parcells doesn't do it. It's that simple. He's kept the QB and the whole line out there in blowouts this year, and only put backups in to hand the ball off to. No valuable experience to be gained there, just functioning and going through the motions. I think we've seen enough of Parcells to know that he could give a crap about any perceived controversies.

He said he didnt think he was ready and he didnt want to put him in there if he didnt have a chance to be successful.

Here's something to consider. What if Parcells had put him in and Romo has a tremendous game. Displays all the ability we see now. I for one would have been pizzed off to no end that he had not made the switch earlier in the year. Say 3-4 games after Flozell went down and it was clear we could no longer give Bledsoe the protection he needed.

Then again, what if Romo stunk it up like he did in the first 2 halfs that he played this season...4 INTs.

I agree that is what BP said. He did not feel Romo was ready

Agreed!

His success makes me wonder. BP was very high on him last year too, and I have not heard him say he was for sure not ready last year, just he might not have been and definitely not year 1 or 2. That is what I have heard him say.

And if he would have stunk it up and had a bad game, therefore BP being hesitant to playing him this year. Or got injured and possibly not ready for camp, so he wouldn't be ready this year either.

It doesn't matter now does it?

If it does not matter to you, don't post. If you think it is a dead horse don't post. Nobody's forceing you to read it , OK.

Bledsoe told Aikman last year that he did not want to sit because he wouldnt get his job back... last year doesnt bother me!!!

This year BP may have cost us the SB with his Father like loyalty to Drew and his Blunders in Free Agency and the draft not to mention that joke of an OL he put together!!!

A little touchy there are you? Too much coffee?

I meant it does not matter if and when he played last year. It's history. This year and the fact he is playing now is what mat.ters

Yeah...really! Romo gives BP a pass on just about all QB moves in the past. If this works... he will be looked at like the "Wiley Old Wise Veteran" coach LOL

Very well may be some truth to this last statement. Also, was Romo under contract for this year? It is a long shot, but if he had come out, thrown for 300 yards and showed the poise he has this year would he have had an opportunityto make some more money, or received interest from other teams?

Not really touchy, it is just I think it is an interesting discussion now and if some people don't , thats fine don't enter into it.

That is what I do with 70% of the threads on here.

Only 1 cup, thanks.
