Well, we won't have to watch the play clock hit zero often, guess that is a plus.

I need to see it against a better offensive unit - like the Falcons

I have long believed Eli is overrated, and Bradford doesn't make anyone forget about Montana (except Sal Palantonio)

Good offensive teams usually get theirs no matter who they play though.

If you start shutting down the Patriots and Packers then you have an all time great defense.

Seahawks defense was awesome last year and we still punked them out and found pay dirt.

Im more willing to believe now with the defense we currently have...

If we had the defense of either the past 2 years hell no i would believe we were screwed big time

I wholeheartedly believe when Romo and Dez get back we will still have a shot, due in large to the mediocrity of this division. No reason to jump **** just yet, particularly at 2-0.

We're 2-0 and missing some absolutely vital players. I've got Cowboys fans around me pushing women and children out of the way as they jump into the lifeboats for the safe waters "giving up on the season" harbor.

I've got no such plans.

I'll be here to watch the team sink or swim until the end of the season, whenever that may come.

It's going to be a battle, but Garrett is as steady a captain as you'll find for troubled waters, and every couple of weeks we get a new piece added back to the crew.

I'm confident the team has seen enough of Weeden now to know what he can and can't do, and put him in position to succeed. He made some nice throws yesterday and 7-7 in relief of one of the greatest QBs of all time is nothing to dismiss, even against the Charmin-soft coverage of one Byron Maxwell.

It's going to be ugly for sure, but if the team can fight through this and get Romo back with a chance to win the East late in the season, everything else could fall into place for a playoff run.

My take is that another win over the NYFG's and the Iggles will essentially mean a 4 game lead over those two...both of them are 0-2 and another loss to the 'Boys puts them at 0-3 and losing Head 2 Head tiebreaker against the "Boys), not withstanding what happens in other games played by those teams. I'm not saying a win over both of them is a given, but with what I've seen out of all three teams so far, I'd rather be us than them. I think that with the reinforcements that are soon coming, and the eventual return of Romo and Dez, the division is still Dallas' for the taking. (I'm not even giving the Washington team a chance, though they may end up being better than both NY and Phil).

I have no faith in Weeden at all.

We're going to do really bad with him at QB.

That said I'll be right there watching the ship sink all the way to the bottom as he sinks us.

And what exactly do you see in Washington, NY, and Philly that makes you think our ship will sink all the way to the bottom? At least our ship is afloat right now, which is more than can be said for Philly and NY.

I see that NY still has their starting QB so I'd take that over Weeden right out of the gates.

But point taken.

i know this may be homerish of me but i think we will be fine. we'll hopefully be at full health at week 10 and i think weeden can do what is asked of him until then. i think our division being bad is really going to help us out.

Yep, if people will just step back off the ledge and look at the big picture, they might see things differently.

it's the brutal front loaded schedule that makes this seem unlikely, although that Saints game is looking better and better.

Brees didn't leave the game, but something is wrong with his throwing arm

I will certainly give you Eli over Weeden, but in looking at the entire roster of both teams, I'd rather be us than them. They just look bad. I do give NY a better shot at overtaking us than I give Philly. NY has the Eli to Beckham Jr threat, I simply don't see any threat in Philly, mainly because they have neither a QB nor a receiver that is going to scare anyone.

Yeah I could see that happening. I don't think they have to worry about Philly doing much. Philly is over-rated, as expected, and aren't going to do very well.

But I can see the Giants rallying and turning things around because they've done so before with Eli at QB.

Now, granted, they had far better defense then, as opposed to now, so it's going to be much harder for them.

I think were to hard on The Weed Man. He had a bad game in AZ, but in relief the guy has been good.

I know, they will gameplan differently now..but I think he is going to surpise us.

I am not scared to admit it. I love Weed.

LOL....Funny

Speaking of the Falcon defense - its hard to evaluate just how good they are because the eagles and Giants are both inept on offense right now.

I get your point, but I think the Saints are on the verge of complete implosion. In fact, I think the games against the Saints, NYG's, Iggles, TB Bucs, and Miami are all very winnable, with the games against the Cheaters and, to a lesser extent, the 'Hawks looking tough. By the time those games have been played, Romo and Dez should be back, or close to it. I don't see the future as bleakly as I did early in the third Qtr yesterday, that's for sure.

Count me in as a guy who says Weeden is terrible. But then I look at our schedule and with how things are shaking out its not too bad. The Falcons is a winnable (I think we lose) game. The Giants and Eagles game is obviously winnable with Weeden. Saints and Bucs are very winnable games. The Dolphins, Patriots and Seahawks will be tough games to win. I could honestly see The Weeden Cowboys going 4-3 and I do not think you have to be wearing Blue and Silver colored glasses to see them going 4-3 over the next 7 games.

Falcons: Loss
Saints: Win
Patriots: Loss
Giants: WIn
Seahawks: Loss
Eagles: Win
Bucs: Win
Dolphins: Romo should be back
