Going to any games this year

I live near D.C. and unfortunately my first Cowboys game was late last year again the skins. It was horrible, So in my first trip to Texas I get to stay in the very awesome Gaylord Texan and I decided what better game than the skins game. Hopefully they get crushed and I will forget all about getting beer cans thrown at me and people talking crap with Jessica Simpson faces! Oh yeah, plus....If anyone knows that restaurant people have been talking about that the players may hit earlier in the day....LET ME KNOW PLEASE!! Im hoping to make this my best vacation EVER!:D

Who did you want to see win last season?
The Bills. I was actually at that game. I'll admit that I'm more of a Bills fan than I am a Dallas fan but I'm objective when it comes to both teams. I also live in Dallas...

Watching Super Bowls XXVII and XXVIII must've been hell.

Gotta love same sport/split team fans.
I'm a Bills fan living in Dallas, I feel the need to try and support the local team. I was too young to care about either Super Bowl to tell you to the truth and at the end of the day it's still just a game and doesn't really affect me in my every day life either way.

So, it's safe to assume that if you were watching Super Bowls XXVII and XXVIII, you were hoping for the Bills to win, right?

Nice.

Going to pre-season game vs Texans, first time to Texas Stadium, also looking for tickets to go during regular season.
I read on here before about a place around Texas stadium that is a nice place for breakfast that cowboys players used to eat at, anyone knows the name ??

Me too.

I saw the tickets online and they are just way to cheap not to go.

Especially for the dress rehearsal game. I may become a perenial participant at the 3rd preseason games if they are @ dallas.

You should either learn how to read or get your bifocals fixed ;)

Cool. I just dislike how some ignore or do not understand the definition of the word 'fan'. 'Fan' is short for 'fanatic'. Understandably, you're not a fanatic as far as the Cowboys are concerned. It's just perplexing that you (and others like you) would label yourself a fan of the team and you're obviously not. Wouldn't it be better to simply describe yourself as someone who "likes the team"?

No need. My reply was being typed while you submitted your earlier message.

Well I'm a 'fan' of the NFL before I'm a 'fan' of any team. I honestly see nothing wrong with it, and to harp on someone because they choose one path or the other is nothing short of ignorance considering we live in the freest country in the world.

I am. I got tickets to the 49ers game. I would get another game or two but these gas prices are really effecting me. I will see in a month or two if I can get a few more games. For right now I'm looking forward to the niner game. I'm predicting a 34-10 whippin by the boys.

I'll have to go through a ticket resale but I'll be going to the Thanksgiving Day game

Your misuse of the word 'fan' is more like it and no one stated that you were not a fan of professional football played in the National Football League. Also, you yourself stated that you were a "Cowboys slash Bills fan". Fans or f-a-n-a-t-i-c-s choose 'a' team and don't employ multiple choice. That has very little to do with freedom and more to do with acting more like what you 'claim' to be.

Tell me 'fan'; how many games will you be attending.

I am going to see the Bills vs Chargers I think it is October and I always go to the Giants vs Cowboys. If the Cowboys go to the SuperBowl, I can get tickets for that too.

Ah, yes. A deflection argument.

Answer: It depends. It will be one, two or no games whatsoever. I'm a working stiff who faces the economic reality of earning a living hundreds of miles from Dallas during SOME unscheduled weekends. So, as you're asserting, I am, by definition, not a fan or fanatic because I may not actually attend a game in person this season.

Makes you wonder why they even broadcast the damn games. Only fans sit in the seats during games. Those who may watch the games from home are not fans, right?

So, by your assertion, many of the members here who engage in conversations during games via the forum or chatroom and who ONLY claim the Cowboys as their favorite team, aren't really Cowboys fans after all...

...right?

I read earlier where you were attending many games in person. Good for you. If true, it more than proves that you're a fan of professional football. Still, it doesn't prove that you're a fan a single team named the Dallas Cowboys and neither does your assertion.

You're a very insecure person aren't you?

Lets get this thread back on track here.

I haven't been to an NFL game since 1994 (and we lost to the old Browns team that game). I live in the DC area and I've been thinking about getting tickets for when the Cowboys come here. I was thinking of doing that last year, but I decided against it because it was the last game of the season and I was afraid we'd have nothing to play for. Looks like I made the right call on that.

I will be going to both the Cleveland and Pittsburgh game.

I went to both stressful wins last year (Buffalo and Detroit).

I usually like to make at least 1 game per year. This year I gave up Training Camp for 2 games.

I cant wait for the San Diego/Dallas game in '09.

I'm definitely going to Fedex this year, and I might make my inaugural trip to Lincoln Financial as well.

i may be going to see the Cowboys @ St Louis.

hopefully ill make a couple days of training camp since its here in Socal
