Good Bye Wade????

I wasn't looking for an agreement just wondering why so many think Cowher will buck the system and be successful when no (except Vermeil) retreaded coaches are? Is he that special? Is his 1 Super Bowl win in 15 years so impressive that he WILL surely win another?

I just don't understand the fascination with him. If he was coach of Dallas and the Cowboys played like his first SB team did, he would still be picking the tar-and-feathers off himself...

I'm not about trying to justify why I want Cowher. I have done enough of that over the last few months every time Wade showed his true colors as HC. If you're looking for that go Google his name or something.

I want Cowher and don't care who doesn't.

Wow! Just asking...

Jerry basically absolved Wade of everything last night, so the point is moot.

He said the same thing about Campo.......said he wasn't bringing in Pacman....said he wasn't trading for a receiver...etc...etc...

Jerry is a used car salesman.........prepare for a new coach.

All along I have wanted Cowher. I'm going to keep it simple... Start with throwing whatever it takes at Cowher to get him here. Then let him pick his coordinators and shop for the groceries.
Agreed. But I don't think he'll buy too much at the grocery store. There's a lot of talent here.

I agree. It's going to waste right now. :bang2:

That crap game wasn't on Wade!

*The 2 long Raven TDs, watch in slo-mo we needed to get our offense on the field and both times we had people in place to do it. Key guys got blown off the line and our ILB both got smoked.
*Romo played one of "the" epic fail games of his career and at half time I believe ED REED had more catches from him than any of our recievers. (wow)
*JG hurt us early on and had the chance to show what he could do vs the Raven's D, he really blew it for the most part.
*Our defense stayed on the field way too long, and it's not just fatigue. How would you feel if you put together huge efforts over and over (we had 5 sacks and 2 FF in the 1st half) and they had to realize around the 4th corner that Romo wasn't going to help win it and I think our offense really demoralized our defense. With EVERYTHING at stake that was huge for Tony to lay a giant turd of a game.

I am curious did you watch the game?

Yeah dude I'm pretty sure I did and I don't recall Wade throwing INTs or getting blown 7 yards upfield at key moments, why do you ask?

Soft training camp - creates players that can't tackle. Our guys have had tackling problems all year.

Soft training camp - makes a team become injury plagued. Like we have been all year.

We throw the word talent around a lot, but I'm starting to seriously doubt the intelligence of our offensive line and WRs. (particularly Gurode and Williams).

Pretty good chance Cowher wouldn't want anything to do with your favorite player, though.

Jerry is the problem. Hes a cancer. Hes a media hoe, hes a drama hoe and hes a credit hoe. He caters and babies the star players. He undermines his coaches. His ego is over the top. And they can change coach after coach, player after player and qb after qb.; and it will never change.

You are right.

Because Wade was brought here to get this defense playing at a high level.

I realise they gave up 2 big runs at the end but for the most part this defense is playing better than they ever have.

Even under Parcells.

The last thing we need to do is bring in a new scheme on defense and start over.

Wade is also the guy who hired Stewart and turned away Dom Capers this offseason because Stewart "wasn't comfortable" with him. The defense underperformed horrifically under Mr. Stewart, yet it still took a profanity laced tirade from Jerry after an utterly embarrassing loss for Wade to make a move (and then denied making any moves for several weeks after).

Again, you want to make Wade DC I'm all for it. He's not head coaching material.

If Wade refuses to let Bruce and Stewart go then he needs to go and you can't tell me Jerry is not fuming right now. I don't know how you can think Wade is safe.

Would agree with this, and maybe that is how he also gets Wade out. Looks like he wanted to keep him, but had to get rid of some assistants. Do you think going into the new stadium he makes a run at Holmgren, and would you want him? I know they are good friends, right?

They are. And if we close out the season missing the playoffs I think you hit the nail completely on the head.

Jerry Jones the salesman will be loathe to go into the first season of his new shiny bright stadium with a coach who was booed off the field the last game in the old one.

Jerry the GM might believe in continuity or whatever, but Jerry the Marketeer knows better.

I hope Cowher and Holmgren are on Jerry the Marketeer's speed dial.

I won't argue the tackling part, obviously we leave a lot to be desired there and too often our guys are just throwing in a helmet or shoulder and not wrapping up. By a safety, that is inexcusable.
The soft training though I don't agree with the people who say this. Last year he did the same thing and we were very fortunate to be pretty healthy. Plenty of teams that have 'hard' practices are suffering huge injuries right now. Dallas has been fortunate for a long time but this year has been brutal. It's a crap shoot if you ask me.
Now, mental toughness is probably an issue though. (offense especially)

I would be perfectly fine with that. I want a winner on the field.

Don't think he wouldn't also be critical of Romo as well...
