Good Feeling Versus the Dolphins

I think the Boys will have to keep Witten in a bit to help out with the pass rush. If they don't, he may get good yards, but I think they'll end up being with Romo looking up from the ground.
You think that, but there's really no reason to.

The Giants and Bills would have no problems beating the Falcons and Dolphins.
Yeah, I forgot about ATL. They are in there, and move the Bills out. But I don't think the Giants can beat the Dolphins if they played this sunday. Healthy rosters for both, I could see it, but as it stands right now. No freakin' way.

I usually dread playing the Dolphins. Strange things happen when we do.

No Leon!!! (Can't get that image out of my head.)

Over the years other than the victory in Super Bowl VI, I have not enjoyed the games against the Dolphins. I respected Shula, and I feared him a bit too. We're 3-7 against them over the years.

But this week I feel really confident even though it's the Dolphins. There are a few reasons why.

1. We're not playing them on Thanksgiving. We've done that 4 times and lost 3 of them. No Leon!!!

2. Jason Garrett should know the offensive strengths of the Dolphins with the possible exceptions of Trent Green and Tedd Ginn Jr.

3. Wade Phillips should know the offensive philosophy of Cam Cameron after facing him in practices for the last several years.

Now, can the last 2 things be turned back against us? Sure, but I honestly think the Dolphins are one of the 5 worst teams in the NFL and the Cowboys one of the 5 best offenses in the NFL.

42-10 Dallas.

:dolphins:

You know... I cant deny... I feel totally different about this team than in years past. I feel we are a FORCE.

I dont care if you are not supposed... but I believe they will put up a little fight and then it will be a walk in the park. I say this because these are the games that good/great teams put the opponents to sleep.

I believe we are becoming that team. The team that puts lesser teams away.

And last but not least. Garret. Period. Everything that you have known as a Cowboy fan over the last decade plus is over. We are an attacking team.
Man... how long have we waited for a team that goes for the kill or atleast makes you feel like they score on every possession.

The Giants would need Eli back to win. I doubt that Shamu could pull it off. They could still win with the other injuries.

You want to go 5 man protection schemes against the Dolphins? Do I need to even remind you that Taylor is the DPOY? If you thought the Skins would do this against the boys, despite having better pass protection, you'd be saying Ware would get like 4 sacks, Spencer with 3 and then throw in about 2 or 3 other names as getting 1. Jason Taylor is much better than Ware and Joey Porter much better than Spencer.

:laugh1: Yeah, theogt, the Cowboys should worry about that! You know, that great pass rush of Miami's is going to smother BIGG and Colombo...

Sometimes these RedStinks can say some of the funniest stuff!

I think Eli gives them a fighting chance. He hasn't really shown he can still deliver under lots of pressure and the Phins can put on some pressure. Without Osi (and Strahan being outta shape), a really poor LB corps and horrible secondary with no reason to think that Ward can do anything against the Phins run D, it would be a close run affair, but I see too many advantages going towards the Phins to see a giant victory.

How's your team going to do against the eagles? Curious minds want to know...

This is the key weapon we have against the Dolphins...

I found this pic the other day on accident and it made me laugh. :D

Third best pass-rush in the NFL last year, got better by adding Joey Porter... But nah, 5 man protection fronts by an average cowboys OL should be good enough.

Yes, but you still have to punch it in the end zone. Moving the ball down the field is one thing. Punching it into the end zone is another. Especially, if they take the deep ball away. The question is, can we move the ball on a short field. Against the Giants we didn't have to as we attacked the end zone from outside the red zone.
were we outside the redzone when Romo ran in that score?

That might be true. Who honestly knows at this point? My worst 5 teams are (in no particular order) Cleveland, Oakland, Arizona, NYG and Buffalo. So it looks like we both believe that the other team beat up on a crappy opponent.
Mine are Cleveland, Atlanta, Tampa, Kansas City, and Miami.

Well, I think if we can shadow Westbrook and stop the deep pass, we can take the game. I can see us completely destroying them with the run as they've shown no signs of shoring that part of the defense up and use some play-action off of that and taking our shots deep. I think we can do good things against their D, but Westbrook and their ability to get deep can take over a game. If the Eagles get ahead early, we might as well just call it a day because we'll get away from the running game which is easily our greatest strength. If we can keep it close or even lead, I think we can pound the ball down their throats and come out with a W.

Tampa and KC are my next couple, but I see LJ and Gonzo getting things rolling eventually in KC (even so, getting a top 10 pick). Tampa, I think, is in for another long season.

Your schtik is old.

You outpost anyone in threads that pump up or put down the Cowboys.

You said the Giants would be all over Romo. Didn't happen.

You said that Manning was awesome in preseason and Romo looked pedestrian at best. How'd that work out?

You said that Spencer would be a liability and wouldn't be use to us until the second half of the season. He was the highlight game one.

I would put you on ignore except I love watching you get your arse handed to you in any sort of argument requiring logic, which brings up the next point:

You mysteriously always have somewhere else to be when you are proven wrong with concrete facts as opposed to your made up facts.

I hope your team crushes them! And, all you have to do is hit McFlabb a time or two...and the game is yours!

Although my mother and father taught me better, I will be rooting for the Stinks...

Ouch! I think that was a third degree.

I remember last week, when firehawk told us all about how the Giants
definitely have a great pass rush, even without blitzing.

I'm not sure how we'll handle our second straight week of "great pass rush", as evaluated by firehawk.

I'll be rooting for the Stinks as well, but I don't see how they can win this game. Campbell will get pounded, and Moss is the only one who can beat any of their corners. The Stinks will have to play extremely well to beat the E-girls this weekend.
