Good Interview with Mike Mayock on the draft

Not really anything on Dallas, however it's a good listen talks about how "McFadden isn't even in the same school district as Peterson" in terms of pro potential. In his mind no WR has a 1st round grade thought that was interesting.

For some reason, Mayock can't seem to utter the name "McFadden" without his lip curling up into a sneer... it confused me for a while, but I think I've figured it out-- McFadden has some paternity suits out against him, Mayock looks old enough to have a daughter around 19...

Mayock's daughter is gonna be D-Mack's baby momma, I'm sure of it...

Mayock has really backed himself into a corner on the whole McFadden thing, so I guess he's just going to play it out now and go for broke. If McFadden tears it up in the NFL he'll have to dip his face in sulfuric acid to get all the egg off of it. I can't say I've ever seen Kiper take such a militant stance against a consensus top 10 pick, which is probably why he's stayed at the top of the mountain for 20+ years. I don't care how much film you watch, you never truly know how these guys are going to turn out in the NFL. That kind of arrogance and condescension is going to bite you in the butt.

I haven't seen him do that but I have seen him claim that Mike Williams was going to be the best prospect from that draft a few years ago. Didn't quite work out for him there.

I've got no problem with him saying that Peterson is way ahead of McFadden. How many RBs are actually on Peterson's level?

Some people seem to think that its forbidden to voice doubt of McFadden.

He has skinny legs and has some charactor concerns.

So I would not take him top 5 unless I was a whole lot more sure of him.

Frankly, I would take him about 9 or 10.

There are VERY FEW RB's in Petersons' league............no big news there.
